The Mark Houston Recovery Center is now carrying on Mark’s vision under a new name – the Benchmark Recovery Center. They continue to provide the same high levels of care, compassion and knowledge to their residents and they are currently adding and expanding on an already proven program of recovery.

Their belief is that alcoholism and drug addiction are chronic, progressive diseases which demand a lifelong set of practices as a way of living if we are to experience permanent recovery. TLC Residential Clean & Sober Living Homes was founded in 1988. The present owner and director of operations Frank Montero is a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor and has been clean and sober since 1996 and has run various rehabilitation centers. They have experienced district managers who go to treatment centers to do presentations on sober living and take clients to see their homes. All of their staff are dedicated to the process of recovery.

TLC offers dozens of sober living homes throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. These homes are set up exclusively for men and women recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. As MD Toxicologist, Dr. David Silverstein serves as the clinical liaison between Confirmatrix Laboratory and their clients. Speaking directly with the physicians and practitioners, Dr. Silverstein is always available for personalized, peer-to-peer consultation, interpreting analytical toxicology results, clinical correlation and customer service. Combining the ability to analyze HPLC-MS/MS data with his vast clinical and teaching experience, and knowledge of prescription medication and drugs of abuse, Dr. Silverstein provides the unique ability to partner with clients, and to bridge the scientific and clinical realms. He leads a team that performs daily review and audit of laboratory data and final reports to assure quality and accuracy, offering yet another layer of data review prior to results reporting.

The mission of Safety Net Recovery is to create a solid foundation for sober living. They provide support, structure and instruction to each client, giving them the best opportunity to learn and practice spiritual principles of recovery.

Safety Net is a 60 bed facility for men serving four distinct male populations. Their program tracks include: Young Adults (Age18-26), Adults (Age 27-60), Older Adults (Age 61 and Older) and their Healthcare Professional Program.

Safety Net requires a 6 month commitment at admission with a maximum stay of 18 months if a long term situation is needed. Safety Net requires all applicants to have 30 days documented sobriety and be willing to embrace the 12-Step program. Safety Net costs include a $1,000 admission fee and a $1,500 monthly fee.
