Dave Perry, President and CEO of the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Dave Perry has been president and CEO of the Greater Oro Valley Chamber for 9 years. He spent more than 30 years working as a newspaper reporter, editor, and publisher.

He grew up in Connecticut, graduated from the University of Wyoming and spent most of his career in Wyoming communities. Dave, the former publisher and editor of The Explorer in Northwest Tucson, enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, sports, music, writing and more.

He has two children. Dave and his wife Lisa live in Oro Valley.

Dave previously served as the Chairperson for the Chamber of Commerce in Rawlins, Wyoming.

Dave changed careers after more than 30 years in the newspaper industry, interviewing for the position when it came available 9 years ago.

Dave got into Chamber work to help people and his community.

Martin Reichgott, Director of Business Development for the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce

Martin Reichgott has been the Director of Business Development for 3 years. Previously, he spent the majority of his career managing nonprofits and coaching swimming.

He is originally from the suburbs outside New York City and has lived in Chicago, Portland, and Alaska, in addition to Arizona. He enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with his wife, Amy.

• Martin did not have experience with Chambers of Commerce before joining the staff at Oro Valley.

• Martin changed careers and was connected to Dave as a potential fit for the Chamber staff.

• Martin believes that helping people every day is a healthy way to work.

John has had many years of experience in the health, wellness, coaching, and business development and management fields. Prior to being a successful business entrepreneur and helping manage and consult for business, John got a lot of his ability to lead and coach people when he was a very successful college basketball coach for several colleges/universities. John attended Washington State University, Pullman where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education and his Masters of Education in Athletic/Sport Administration. John performed out of the classroom as well as having played for the WSU PAC-10 basketball team. John went on to become the Student Director of Activities for Northeastern College where he oversaw and developed many programs while designing and building a new 8-million-dollar state of the art Community Event Center, that housed, activities, concerts, shows, and athletic competitions for the local community. He was the lead fundraising and development director for the Event Center while acting as the Director of Corporate Fundraising and Marketing for the college. He developed programs to build community relations and increase revenue to the Event Center, every year he was there. John later went on to serve as the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation Chairman at Odessa College. There, John had a long list of responsibilities and accomplishments that helped shape his career and really exemplifies his dedication to his craft and team development. During his time at Odessa College, John was responsible for having revamped “The Fitness Center” with new equipment ($400,000), raised over $900,000 in one year for a capital project “ET 130” Dick and Amelia Saulsbury Community Conference Room, cultivated a Donor to Donate Golf Driving Range to the college ($450,000 Tax write-off), and raised additional funds for different projects for the college. He also oversaw multiple national championships in both men’s and women’s athletics, with numerous other national-level accomplishments. After his term at Odessa College, John remained in Odessa and become the President/CEO of the Odessa YMCA. There he created Partnership in the community while directing a Full and Part-Time staff of over 175, and a growing budget of $4 Million. During his career he established his own Life Skills and Fitness-Health Coaching/Counseling business, helping individuals and companies develop healthier ways of living and advancing their professional careers. In 2011, John went on to open Smoothie Factory franchises, and after 7+ years he now has grown to own 4 stores in 2 states, with year over year growth. For nearly a decade, John has successfully operated and grown each store every year with large profits. John’s dedication to constantly developing physically, mentally, and professionally is the reason he is so successful today. He possesses the great capability of positively impacting any person, group, or project he sets his sight upon.

I was born and raised here in Tucson, Arizona. I grew up in my parent’s home alongside my 4 siblings. I have 3 older sisters and 1 older brother making me the baby of the family. I have been married 9 years now to my husband David and we have 2 kids of our own, Zakariah and Lexi.  We have 3 dogs, 1 cat, lots of fish and my son has a lizard and a mouse. As you can tell we have a love for animals. I love music, being outdoors and spending time with my family every chance I get. We love taking family cruises and exploring the mountains around the town.   

 I have now worked for my Dad’s business ProLam Plus, on and off for the last 15 years. After working for a few different companies in other fields (some I loved others not so much) I came back permanently in 2016 to help run the business. As Production Manager, I eventually plan to take over the family business when my Dad retires. My Dad Bob Smith founded ProLam in 1996 after perfecting his skills in the same industry for 5 years prior. I myself have always had an eye for creativity so I have enjoyed working here and I am proud to be able to take over the business and to continue to serve Tucson and the greater part of Arizona with our dedication to excellence and quality in Mounting, Laminating and Custom Picture Framing services.

Phillip Sullivan has lived in Tucson for 11 years when I moved here to go to the U of A. I’ve been married for 10 years (Just recently celebrated our 10 years) and we have 3 kids, Taytn, Lennon, and McCartney.  He has been in the industry for 8 years now.  He originally started as an instore personal banker and has had a few different roles throughout my career.  

In addition to his professional, his kids keep him pretty busy and finding cool and interesting things to do in Tucson is probably their favorite thing to do.  

Phillip took a personal finance class while at the U of A and by that time he was already married with two kids. He says, in hindsight, the information provided was simple but really impactful to me and my family. Most students did not have a family and didn’t need to worry about setting a budget  or worrying about 401k management but I did. At the end of the course, I thought I should try to find a job, but at that point, I wasn’t really sure about a career where I could help families in the same position. I progressed in my career eventually helping businesses do the same thing I was with families.

We are the first to get our food out as quickly as possible so that people who are on their lunch breaks and have time restraints can actually enjoy and relish in the flavor that we created instead of choking on it before you go back on the clock. lol! And Providing the largest and most diverse menu in the western United States ranging from Texas to California up to the Canadian border.

When it comes to events all around the Tucson area, we bring to the table a menu designed as a one-stop-shop for a family of five from age 2 to 92 I think makes us unique!

My wife and I have been married for 9 years.  We lived here for 11years, moving from Denver Colorado, where the BurgerRito was born, known as a Mexican hamburger for the past 65 years!  I have been in the industry -customer service all my life, and have been a master-baker in Colorado but wanted to bring my childhood favorite with me to Tucson.  My hobbies include mud runs and all contact sports(football/hockey)

I got into the Business  in Colorado during a mud-run and had a Mexican hamburger in my hand wishing I could enjoy this back in Tucson, and thought, why not?  So I decided to open a Foodtruck so all in Tucson could enjoy a childhood favorite!

I got into this line of work because I enjoy being an independent and enjoy my passion for cooking at the same time.  We are looking for more specifics about you so our listeners can connect. - I get to the place where I wear my passion on my sleeve, and I get a chance to be a social butterfly as I dissect the menu that I’ve created.  Being in the Food Truck industry has given me the opportunity to say thank you to all of the community who has embraced all Foodtrucks including mine that’s why we really embrace all 501(c)(3)‘s schools churches and give back to the community is my way of saying thank you.
