Interview with Megan Porth and Luke Amargo E11

This month’s show was unique because it brought together two individuals from very different businesses to talk about a topic they both could relate to. One over 100 years old and the other a PHX-based startup that is in its 5th year of business.

Megan Porth was practically born a conscious capitalist. Her parents and families have always owned businesses and believed in business as a force for good. You can clearly hear in her stories that she gets is and empowers those around her to jump on board. Her business, Your Contract Shop, is making purchasing a contract as easy as a purchase on Amazon.

Luke Amargo is a jack of all trades. He spent the early years of his career starting businesses and winning pitch competitions. He now serves as the Entrepreneur Manager at the Better Business Bureau Pacific Southwest and is on the Navy Reserve. His wide variety of skills and experience has given him the tools he needs to bring innovation to a 100-year-old organization. He’s a believer in conscious capitalism and educates main street entrepreneurs to build their businesses with the 4 tenants in mind.

Tune-in to hear stories from both young and established organizations with learnings you can apply to your work today.

Your Contract Shop is an innovative approach to legal services. With a desire to break down the barriers between attorneys and their clients, Your Contract Shop utilizes the most modern resources to drive the cost of legal services down, while still maintaining the highest level of service. Your Contract Shop’s one goal is to ensure that its clients are protected. YCSlogo

All of Your Contract Shop’s attorneys and paralegals work virtually. That means the client does not have to pay for a pricey law office that the client will never use. By cutting down on one of a law firm’s most expensive pieces of overhead, Your Contract Shop can afford to cut its rates to better fit its clients’ budgeting needs.

Your Contract Shop strives to make seeing an attorney fun! The vision is to create a world where individuals and business owners get the legal advice they need quickly, easily, and affordably. Your Contract Shop utilizes processes, technology, and modern business practices to make legal advice as accessible as buying a book online.

Megan-Porth-Phoenix-Business-RadioXMegan Porth is the founder and managing attorney at Your Contract Shop. Megan was born and raised around entrepreneurs and business people.

From a very young age, she was attending networking events, strategic planning meetings, and marketing seminars. Her passion for helping businesses grow inspired her to go to law school, where she graduated with honors and created and supported a number of school organizations.

Prior to law school, Megan worked as the Business Manager for a software development company, the Deputy Director for a statewide initiative, and a lobbyist for the Arizona Department of Veterans Services.

Additionally, Megan was the Chief Operations Officer of a web-based real estate training company, where she managed hundreds of clients and a full staff of employees. When she’s not working, Megan loves kayaking, camping, and granting wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Megan Porth, the principal at YCS, is only licensed in Arizona.
