CHRISTINE LENINGER and ALEX WALDORF

Originally hailing from Chicago, Illinios (well, the ‘burbs), Christine Leninger has a Bachelors Degree in English and Journalism. She got her start in newspaper and magazine editing, then progressed to 25+ years as a technical writer and editor in the corporate world working for name-recognized companies in telecommunications, aerospace, and software development. She was part of the dot com bust having been laid off by a few unsuccessful yet groundbreaking startups in early streaming technology for news and music, and point of sale systems. There are lessons to be learned in all positions. After experiencing life changing loss in her family, Christine was inspired to go out on her own in an effort to spend her time her way while raising three extremely active boys. A single mom, Christine splits her work time between operating her own book editing business LUPI Docs & Designs, and performing radio production for the Eliances Heroes radio show. Christine also acquires most of her work through word of mouth particularly via the “Place Where Entrepreneurs Align,” Eliances entrepreneur community, which is the reason and incredible focus for the radio show development of furthering the Eliances mission, bringing entrepreneurs together in collaboration and strong relationships for creating magic in the world. Major non-work interest is listening to music, going places and doing things.

Contact with Christine at media@eliances.com and https://www.linkedin.com/in/crjeffries/

YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS ACADEMY AND BRYDANT CAPITAL

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a groundbreaking nine-month program that guides students in Middle and High School through the process of starting a real business, including business plan development, pitching to an investor panel, obtaining funding, launching the venture, managing media campaigns, e-commerce and web development, sales events, and trade shows. Entrepreneur guest speakers, business mentors, and visits to local companies anchor the instruction around real-world applications and experiences. The end result of the YEA! Program, unlike other simulation models is a fully formed and functioning business, which is carried on by students after graduation. Launched in 2004 at the University of Rochester, the program focuses on themes of driving innovation, viewing the world in new ways, recognizing opportunities, valuing risk taking, networking, providing solutions and creating value. Students are taught to recognize the power of their ideas, and develop the skills necessary to turn those ideas into meaningful enterprises. All of the learning at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy is real, experiential, and fun. For more information about the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, please call 602-515-3800 or visit www.yeausa.org.
