On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on Matt McClellan. Matt lost 25 pounds on an all pizza diet. He ate 1 slice of pizza every 3 hours. These slices were very nutritious though – some had meat – some had vegetables and some had fruit. This proves what Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy have been saying for years – that pizza is a health food. Not only did Matt lose a bunch of weight he also lowered his blood pressure, lowered his cholesterol and lost about 10% of his body fat. Matt does own a pizza shop in Florida so he has an easy time getting custom made pizza. But good news – he created the 30 Day Pizza Diet so anybody can do it. He also created  the Tour de Pizza which is a bike ride up the East Coast that stops at a bunch of pizza joints along the way. Matt wants to change the image of pizza as a junk food to pizza as a healthy food choice. To learn how Matt lost weight on his pizza only diet go to www.tourdepizza.com

Barry Sears, author of The Zone Diet called this book a “must have.” Randy says you are what you eat ate. So you have to keep in mind what the food you are eating was eating. Especially fish – they are like sponges – they absorb all the stuff that is in the ocean around them – and in some parts of the world that means lots of toxins and contaminants.   He says to forget about superfoods and go for super nutrients. There are plenty of boring foods like broccoli and tomatoes that are great for you.  Randy explains why cold water fish are better than farm raised and where you can get the best olive oil in the world. He also says to avoid eating fish that are bottom feeders. To learn more please go to his website www.rkinformedliving.com
