Robert explained why the soda tax might not be the way to decrease obesity. He said that there is no proof that limiting soda lower obesity. Even if kids moved from dining less soda – if they started drinking more milk or fruit juice in schools they would be consuming even more calories than soda. It seems that raising revenue through taxing foods and beverages increases the scope of big government. First they targeted tobacco companies, now soda companies, next will be chip and candy companies then who knows what is next after that.
