Understanding how money works – the basics of personal finance – is an essential life skill that everyone needs each and every day. They teach the WHAT and the HOW so your families, friends, neighbors, and communities can be financially literate and not simply educated. Carmen Payne is a personal and professional development coach. Through her company, SOAR! Transformational Life Coaching, she works with corporate professionals to develop or increase their self-awareness and create an improved version of themselves. Carmen’s services include personalized coaching, workshops, consulting and speaking.

During her corporate career, both in the UK and US, Carmen traveled the world leading international IT projects. This included developing, testing, training, and deploying global solutions with large, international teams. Carmen hails from the beautiful island of Malta. She grew up in the UK before moving to the USA more than a decade ago. Carmen currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her partner, Joshua, her step daughter, Olivia, and their two very fluffy cats, Tiffany and Stephanie.

Buffie O’Neill is a single mother of three amazing successful young adult children. She is a Native of Arizona. The past 18 years she’s spent in the classroom teaching elementary academics and art. She has found her element by speaking about and educating others about money matters and basic financial concepts. She has a passion for teaching and helping others especially in this area, given the unfortunate fact we are not taught about basic personal finance concepts in school. She has honed her skill and talent as a teacher, speaking and educating others how to break down the barriers on this topic.

Buffie is an advocate for financial literacy education to anyone wanting to learn more about how money really works and is committed to change or improve their situation. She believes everyone should have access to information to make educated decisions and choices rather than randomly checking boxes and filling in the blanks with a number and hoping for the best. She is redefining how financial concepts are reaching individuals, families and business owners.
