If you are going to be driving all day – it is a good idea to get some exercise in beforehand – because once you’re in that car you won’t be burning many calories. Prepare lots of healthy snacks to eat in the car in order to prevent trips through the drive through or be tempted by all the unhealthy food choices there are on the road. Healthy snacks like sandwiches, wraps and veggies and fruit you can eat with your hands without making a mess work great. If you’re traveling by plane be sure to bring some trail mix or energy bar that you can keep on you in case there is a flight delay. She said to eat more salmon, strawberries, tomatoes and edamame and drink more coffee for healthier skin. She said an easy way to cut calories is to boost up the vegetables in your meal while cutting back on the meat. She also said that you can mix and match some low calorie milk or cheese in a recipe and not really notice. But most importantly you have to learn what a portion size really is – and it’s much smaller than you think it is. Catherine also gave some great tips on how feed a large group – she said that assembly line serving works best -with foods like fajitas or tacos.
