
In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy share some of tips on how to go back to school healthy.Keeping your child healthy during the back to school from summer transition is always tricky. Schedules change – time is short and everyone is rushed. Try to have your child eat a healthy breakfast each morning and throw in a healthy snack like a piece of fruit in their backpack. Shoot for some fiber and some protein and/or some fruit. Your kid may need a supplement like some extra omega 3 fatty acids like fish oil a probiotic as well. Encourage activity at school and encourage him/her joining a sport or intramural that will keep your child moving. Listen right now to hear Dr Fitness’ tips. On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on our coach for the Sobefit Weight Loss challenge Marta Montenegro, founder of SobeFit magazine. Marta encouraged the Fat Guy and praised Dr Fitness. She also shared a bunch of weight loss tips. Like if your sick and your symptoms are above the neck you can exercise – if they are below the neck you should wait. She also told the Fat Guy to spread his calories throughout the day rather than all in one or two meals. She said not to drink our calories and to pre-plan healthy snacks. She cuts up and prepares vegetables on the weekends so she can eat them throughout the week.
