On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on Roy Johnson explain why Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is on the cover of this month’s Men’s Fitness magazine. Roy said that The situation has an awesome ab and core workout along with an eating plan that he shares with the readers. He probably doesn’t includes his drinking plan though. On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on our good friend Roy Johnson, editor-in-chief of Men’s Fitness magazine. He let us know that Rob Lowe is the September cover and he got in the best shape of his life to get there. There is also a great spread featuring Sofia Vergara from Modern Family which is a must see. Roy talked about how outdoor adventure events are a great way to add variety to your workouts and your training. On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on Roy S Johnsion Editor-in-Chief of Men’s Fitness magazine. Roy said that action movie star Jason Statham (star of  Stallone’s new movie The Expendables – Jason also mentions who he thought was the biggest tough guy on set – fyi he was MMA champ Randy Couture) was on their cover and he shared his awesome workout. Roy also talked about the LeBron move to Miami and how it would impact his legacy. Check out this months Men’s Fitness magazine for more challenging workouts like the 5×5 workout and the Pain workout to boost gains (less rest between sets – more lifting). On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy closed the show with our good friend Roy S Johnson, editor in chief of Men’s Fitness magazine. On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on award winning journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Men’s Fitness magazine. Roy shared some behind the scenes skinny on putting together the MF25 list of the 25 Fittest Men in the World. He also shared some exercise and fitness tips for our listeners. He thinks guys should be working out for life rather than bulking up for looks. Such as forget the latest gadgets – go old school with push ups, sit ups and pull ups. He told the story of how Herschel Walker (who is on the list) does thousands of push ups and sit ups each day instead of going to the gym. Roy thinks regular men can learn some things from the athletes and celebrities featured in his magazine. For example…train year round; have a passion for getting better and getting in shape and vary your workout so your body doesn’t get used to the same old routine mix things up every 6-8 weeks.
