Fran Tarkenton/Tarkenton Financial

Founder

10253746_1600609453532382_2849643589192854314_nFran Tarkenton knows better than most what it takes to succeed in a competitive arena. As one of the NFL’s all-time great competitors, he was inducted into the National Football League and Collegiate Football Halls of Fame and was an All-American athlete at the University of Georgia. As quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, Fran took his team to the 1973, 1974 and 1976 Super Bowls. He set the all-time NFL passing records for touchdowns (342), yards (47,003) and completions. Those records stood for 17 years.

11429818_1600609650199029_3631136899681635830_n Fran has taken the lessons learned on the field to become a successful, hands-on entrepreneur, building more than 20 companies during and after his NFL career, the largest reaching revenues of $142 million. At age 75, Fran continues to advise and support small businesses. In partnership with the University of Georgias Terry College of Business, Fran recently launched the Tarkenton Certificate in Entrepreneurship, a comprehensive online education program teaching entrepreneurs everything they need to start a new business and operate an existing business more effectively.

Dave Vogel/Realistic Retirement Strategies

Founder and President

19387_1593438010916193_8621017678600654279_nI have been in the Financial Services Business since 1982. I started with EF Hutton in NYC and moved to Atlanta in 1983. I joined Lehman Bros Kuhn Loeb which was one of the oldest and largest private investment banking firms of the time. I spent 11 years as a SVP of Investments with Lehman. I got interested in Financial Planning and in 1996 I had an opportunity to become a Branch Manager of Raymond James Financial Services. In 2010 I sold my practice and joined a startup called Redbeacon. The Home Depot bought the company and I helped launch the platform nationwide.

As successful as Redbeacon was, I missed the financial services business where I was used to helping individuals solve their financial and investment needs. Last year I started my own practice where I focus on Retirement Income Planning and Portfolio Management where implement strategies that minimize downside. My main goal is to make sure my clients dont run out of money in retirement. Last year I affiliated with Tarkenton Financial right here in Atlanta. They are one of the best insurance organizations on the Street today.
