Mark Mobley/ Georgia CALLS

Executive Director

Mark, a pastor and city council member, joined with Georgia CALLS in 2015 to bring his wealth of business, pastoral, and non-profit knowledge to the table. With years of experience in both the public and non-profit arenas, Mark is purposefully leading the talented team at Georgia CALLS to help carve a path for returning citizens here in the Atlanta area to restore their lives, rebuild their families, and give back to their own communities after a successful reentry. List 5-8 Topics or Questions for Interview: What is Georgia CALLS? Why Georgia CALLS? What difference does it make? What process led you to get involved in prisoner reentry? What would you say to those who think, “Why give them a second chance? They’ve already committed a crime.”? Is it wise to provide “charity” to people coming out of prison? (Alternatively, “How is Georgia CALLS different from other charities? What is unique about your approach?”) You’ve mentioned that Georgia CALLS is a pilot program. What kind of results have you seen so far? What is the most important lesson that you have learned over the last 18 months? Why should Georgia CALLS matter to the business community? What are your plans for the future? How can you scale what you are doing to make a larger impact? (Alternatively, “20 people is a drop in the bucket compared to the scale of the problem. Can you speak to how Georgia CALLS can exert influence on a larger scale?”) How can a business help or partner with Georgia CALLS?

Attorney/State Representative

Attorney Dar’shun N. Kendrick was born in Atlanta, Georgia to 2 parents that were Georgia entrepreneurs and small business owners. She was raised in South DeKalb, Georgia and graduated from DeKalb County public schools. She received 2 bachelors’ degrees from Oglethorpe University and her law degree from the University of Georgia. While in law school, she was on a Member and Editor of the International and Comparative Law Journal and started the law school’s first ever Business Law Society which prepares law students to practice transactional business law as opposed to business litigation. In August of 2011, she received her Master’s in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University. She is now the owner of Kendrick Law Practice, a private securities law firm that handles legal compliance and investor agreements and negotiations for private placement offerings. After law school and passing the Georgia bar, she was employed at a litigation firm in downtown Atlanta, Georgia serving as counsel for large corporations like American Express, the City of Atlanta, Dell, Avis Rent-A-Car Systems, Clarke Atlanta and other large entities. Her practice is exclusively business law, with a focus on transactional law including document drafting, document reviewing and negotiating services as well as strategic planning and business counseling services and training. Dar’shun is admitted to practice law in the state and superior courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Middle District of Georgia. She is a Member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar, the Business Law Committee of the YLD of the State Bar, the DeKalb and Rockdale Chamber of Commerce. She is also a founding Board Member/attorney for the Stonecrest Mall Business Alliance, Inc. She received the “30 under 30 Awards” in the spring of 2011 and is a finalist for the “Under 30” Awards in Atlanta by Under30FTV Magazine. Dar’shun was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in November of 2010 to represent over 50,000 residents in East DeKalb and Rockdale counties in the Georgia General Assembly. She now represents over 54,000 Georgians from DeKalb and Gwinnett counties and serves on the following committees: Small Business Development and Job Creation (ranking Democrat), Judiciary Non-Civil, Juvenile Justice and Interstate Cooperation. In the spring of 2016, she chaired a series of public hearings of an ad hoc committee made of House members to discuss private capital investments in Georgia. She was also an Adjunct Professor at Oglethorpe University teaching business law to undergraduate students. In January of 2016, Dar’shun started Minority Access to Capital, Inc., which is a non-profit committed to EDUCATION and EMPOWERMENT of minorities on how to access private capital to grow their business and create generational wealth. In March of 2016, she was appointed by the Chairs of the Economic Development and Tourism Committee and Small Business Development and Job Creation Committee to Chair an ad-hoc committee to conduct a series of hearings throughout the state of Georgia on private investment policy in Georgia.

Bob Littell / NetWeaving International

Chief NetWeaver

Although Bob’s background for the last 47 years has been in financialservices, his real passion for the last 17 years is a concept he createdcalled Netweaving. NetWeaving is almost the reverse of more traditional ‘networking’ because it’s focused on helping others, rather than the more ‘self-serving’ networking. With permission of Catherine Ryan Hyde, author of the book on which the popular movie was based – “Pay It Forward”, NetWeaving is now known internationally as the ‘business’ version of ‘pay iit forward’. Bob was the first elected of the Pay it Forward Foundation and still serves on their Board.
