In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy explain how to shop smart for weight loss. There are lots of things you can do at the grocery store to help you lose weight – running sprints down each aisle doesn’t have to be one of them. Avoid sugar free and fat free snacks – those snacks don’t really fill you up, are filled with chemicals and just make you crave more junk food. If you crave something sweet – eat some fruit. Experiment with spices to add flavor to your meals. But smaller quantities – this may cost more money but it will cost you less calories. Make a list and stick to it – pre-planning meals ahead of time and shopping for those ingredients is the ticket to weight loss success. And don’t shop hungry – too many temptations when you are vulnerable will invariably lead to buying something you’ll regret later. Listen right now to hear Dr Fitness’ tips.
