It seems that people in the US get skin cancer on the left side of their face and body more than the right side. Researchers think that may have to do with the way we drive. The windshield and windows of your car block most of the UV rays but if you drive with the window down you are letting in more of the dangerous rays. I guess the best way to see if this theory is accurate is to go to Britain and check to see if their drivers have a lot more skin cancer issues on the right side of their face and body because their steering wheel is on the right side. Any British dermatologists out there have an opinion on this?

nth’s magazine features the tomato on the cover. Nicci shared some healthy skin tips from the magazine. She said that the food you eat can influence how your skin looks and feels. She said to eat more salmon, strawberries, tomatoes and edamame and drink more coffee for healthier skin. There is also a great article on making your own homemade pickles in the magazine as well – along with lots of healthy recipes. Nicci also gave us a preview of the magazine’s new book titled Eating Well on a Budget – this cookbook features meals that can be made for less than $3 a serving. Her last book had lots of great 500 calorie meals and that can still be found in bookstores and at the magazines website.
