
On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on blogger Veronica “Roni” Noone. Roni started blogging in 2005 as a way to stay compliant in her weight loss program. She was on Weight Watchers but her blog was her way to share her
results. Whatever she was doing worked because she lost 70 pounds and has kept the weight off. Over time she built an audience and has expanded her online presence considerably. She explained that losing weight lowers your risk of heart disease and lots of other diseases as well. She suggested eating oatmeal in the mornings as a healthy breakfast. She feels that people need support in order to stay compliant to their exercise and weight loss programs. And she begrudgingly agreed with the Fat Guy’s theory that you diet for weight loss and exercise for health. She added that exercise helps with weight maintenance once you lose weight. Did you know that dark chocolate has less calories than cheese. So forget about that big block of cheddar you were going to give your loved one and go with some dark chocolate. La also shared her secret to losing a quick 10 pounds – pretend your lactose intolerant – don’t eat/drink dairy products like ice cream, milk, cheese or yogurt and watch the weight melt away.
