Moving kids away from processed school food to a more fresh and healthful menu is a good idea. And sadly we have such bureaucracy in the school system that it is difficult to make these changes. And are we really shocked that when given a choice between stir fried vegetables and french fries more kids want the fries. Jamie should be congratulated for even trying and his methods should be implemented over a long time rather than a few weeks. And guess what, when the kids have only choices between healthy foods then they will prefer eating healthy food. And parents I don’t really care if my kid prefers chicken nuggets or pizza over veggies – our job is to feed them foods high in nutrition not just foods they like to eat.
