In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy explains how having recess before lunch can help improve the behavior of school kids so they can be more attentive and learn more.It seems like common sense but several studies have shown that when the kids  play at recess before lunch there is less wasted food (hmmm they’re hungrier after exercise) and kids are calmer and there are fewer behavior problems (hmm they’re more tired after recess).   But of course only a small percentage of schools do this – the vast majority of schools put recess after lunch.
