In this episode of Project Management Office Hours, Joe Pusz, PMO Joe has a great discussion with special guests Fabrice Allibert from Talaia OpenPPM and Tom Stokes from Workday. Joe begins the show discussing the July Phoenix PMI Chapter dinner meeting and the presentation from Special Guest Steven Fullmer. Mr. Fullmer lead an entertaining and thought provoking discussion on how our brain works and what causes “Funnels and Logjams” with our thinking. This is great topic for Project Managers to help us better understand how our teams can be utilized more efficiently.
Joe kicks off the Project Management discussion with Fabrice learning more about the Talaia OpenPPM solution and how it differs from other products currently on the market. Fabrice Allibert, graduated in Business Administration by the University of Jonköping (Sweden). More than 15 years working on IT companies. Started to work as a Service Manager in Packard Bell, than as Service and Support Director in NEC Computers International managing partner alliances and services for the EMEA and LATAM region. In 2007, started to work for SM2 Software and Services Management where he is in charge of business development. In 2012, Fabrice initiated the new TALAIA OpenPPM Business line and is currently the director of the division in charge of the overall business management.
TALAIA OpenPPM is a 6 years old solution. TALAIA started in 2012 and is today present in more than 15 countries. TALAIA is a business line of the company SM2 Software and Service Management. Tom Stokes is the Release Manager with Workday. Tom has an engineering background, coupled with experience in testing and process implementation. As a Project Manager since 2005, he lived through the evolution from CMM waterfall to today’s Agile methods. Being very philosophical, Tom simply looks for the best methods to suit the current business context. Outside work, Tom is an competitive formation skydiver and curler.
