Teresa Hargrave / Women Presidents’ Organization

As a Partner of Charter Oak Consulting Group, Teresa’s work is largely concentrated on women and leadership.  Women Upfront is Charter Oak’s specialized practice designed to bring forth women’s unique and vital contribution to society.  Women Upfront provides education and coaching to women in all levels of organizations, both for and not for profit.  Our expertise focuses on:  strategic planning, values clarification ,career transitions, successful business practices, goal alignment and execution, powerful presentations, skillful communication and conflict transformation.   Teresa is a Chapter Chair in Atlanta for the esteemed Women Presidents’ Organization.

As a sought-after speaker and facilitator, Teresa has served as a senior consultant for the Franklin Covey Company.   Traveling throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, Teresa facilitated workshops and presented keynotes on such topics as the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Principle Centered Leadership, and 4 Roles of a Leader. Teresa also served as faculty for Franklin Covey Company’s acclaimed weeklong executive leadership program, Principle-Centered Leadership Week. Teresa’s clients have included AT&T, Accenture, Aetna, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Coca-Cola Company, Hewlett-Packard, Head Start, The Ladders, MCI, Massachusetts General Hospital, Microsoft, McKinsey & Company and The Woodruff Arts.

Prior to her work at Franklin Covey, Teresa spent eight years as a Senior Consultant for an Atlanta-based consulting firm focusing on not-for-profit organizations.  Teresa was also a television talk show host on “Women’s Kaleidoscope,” highlighting successful women and their achievements; and she was one of the founders of the Knoxville Rape Crisis Center in 1982.

Teresa did postgraduate work at Stanford University and the University of Connecticut in family systems theory, group process, facilitation, and counseling and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee.  Teresa developed work with community theorist Dr. M. Scott Peck, author of The Road Less Traveled, is a trained Co-Active Coach providing personal life, relational and executive coaching services and is a mediator in conflict resolution and negotiation.  Teresa also facilitates workshops based on Daniel Goldman’s Emotional Intelligence work, Peter Block’s Community Building process, the Team Diagnostic Instrument, the Birkman, Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument and MBTI.

Teresa lives in Atlanta, Georgia and northwest Connecticut with her husband, Tony Daloisio. Teresa and Tony have teamed up countless times to deliver speeches and workshop to their clients.  They are also in the process of writing a book entitled The Character of Commitment and have facilitated The Character of Commitment Workshop throughout the United States.  Along with tennis, biking, and walking, working together is certainly one of their greatest pleasures.

Mary Donne Peters is the Co-Founder and Managing member of Gorby Peters Law. She has represented clients around the world for more than two decades. Her practice focuses on representing high growth technology companies. Mary Donne is also a serial entrepreneur, having co-founded a privacy training company and a dispute resolution company in recent years. Mary Donne has authored a popular legal textbook, which is published by the world’s largest legal publisher. She is a sought-after speaker for legal, financial and business organizations.

Joy Lynn Fields is an award-winning focus group moderator whose 25-year marketing career includes qualitative research and brand strategy work for some of the world’s most well-known companies and brands.  Joy Lynn is the founder and CEO of Joy Lynn, Inc. a full-service qualitative marketing research company based in Atlanta GA. She founded the company in 1995 after spending 6 years in consulting with the late Frank Lane, recognized branding expert and author of Killer Brands. Although Joy Lynn’s experience spans a broad range of categories, much of her focus has been in consumer packaged goods.  She conducts both traditional and web-based qualitative, as well as some ethnographic work throughout the US and abroad.  Her experience includes facilitating groups and interviews among not only consumers, but physicians, employees and executives as well.

Phyllis Newhouse/Xtreme Solutions, Inc. 

Phyllis Winchester Newhouse is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is one of thirteen siblings. Ms. Phyllis Newhouse retired from the United States Army in November 1999, having served her country for three decades. She is a graduate of St. Leo College. Phyllis Newhouse is the President and owner of Xtreme Solutions, Inc. She has worked for Fortune 100 companies as well as small businesses. She is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Women Presidents Organization (WPO). She has received numerous military awards and recognitions. Recently she received an award for her company being one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in America. Additionally, Phyllis’ company has been noted as one of the fastest growing small businesses within the Small Business Association.

Since retiring from the US military, she has worked tirelessly to develop Xtreme Solutions to parallel her military career.
