Terry Barber: Inspiration Boulevard

Inspiration Blvd., LLC was created to intersect individual interest and passions with business objectives to create a vibrant, cohesive brand. With the transparency that social media brings to bear, people have begun to blur the lines between personal and work. That’s why we try to balance the content between that which inspires us at a deeply personal level and that which is inspiring about business. We believe that a brand is ultimately made up of a group of individuals bonded to a mission who seek to involve others (customers/clients) into that mission.

We seek to equip and train ANYONE who aspires to inspire another. The way we like to say it is, now you can choose to inspire anyone. The 7 Principles of Inspiration can be used by team leaders to take their team to a deeper level of engagement and performance. The 7 Principles can be used by brand managers to create truly inspiring transactions between a brand and its constituents, creating a more passionate and loyal following.

Critics have argued that inspiration is soft and subjective. Perhaps it can be but we have been highly successful at putting some meaningful metrics around the drivers of inspiration that have undeniable affect. In fact, according to our most recent study published in Forbes, 12 of the top 25 Most Inspiring Companies our performed the S&P in quantum leap fashion.

We have worked with and learned from some of the most inspiring brands and their leaders in the world. And we would like to work with you. Whether it is in the form of speaking and training, coaching or consulting, we can help you and your brand to become inspiring from the inside out.

Activity challenges play a big role in companies’ annual wellness programs.  Walking campaigns and other fitness-related competitions serve as an important wellness tool to reach and engage large groups of employees.  And, when the activities are connected to charitable and community-based organizations, we find an increase in participation along with the goodwill that develops between the company and the community.

Team in Training, www.teamintraining.org/ga, a sports endurance training prgram and a fundraising campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, is issuing a challenge for local corporations.  They are looking for the company to claim the coveted title:  Most Physically Fit Company in Georgia.  This corporate challenge invites local businesses to form teams of five employees or more to compete in selected Team in Training events.

Mary Liebman, Campaign Manager for Team in Training – Georgia, joined the show to provide the details regarding the program.  To hear Mary’s interview and learn how companies can get involved in this unique and inspiring program, click on this link:  Good Health 10262010 Interview.MP3.

The hosts also asked Ms. Liebman what she felt was the most successful engagement strategy to get members involved in programming, like Team in Training.  To hear her engaging response, click on this link:  Good Health 10262010 Engagement.MP3.

Finally, this week’s health tip focused on Communication of Health Benefits.  Dr. Dave and Steve shared the four critical points that organizations should include when communicating to employees during its open-enrollment period.  To hear their tip, click on this link:  Good Health 10262010 Tip.MP3.
