Stout, Renee V2Like so many others, Renee Stout became interested in serving the senior community through a personal experience.  She describes her grandmother as her “soul mate”.  When her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, Renee left sales job in Dallas to care for her in Rhode Island.  Born and raised in central Connecticut, Renee earned a degree in marketing from Central Connecticut University.  After spending a number of years in the manufacturing intdustry, and fresh from her Caregiving experience with her grandmother, Renee started working in sales and marketing for a senior independent living community and then later, an assisted living community, and an emergency medical transport service.  Now, Renee has opened a new chapter as a Community Liaison with Vitas Hospice.  She is thrilled with her opportunity to interact with clients and their families in this critical stage.  One area of particular interest to Renee is in helping children overcome grief as the result of loss of a loved one.  To this end, Vitas is proud to sponsor 23 children for Camp Conquer, a three day camp for kids ages 9-15.  This camp is being held June 3-5, 2011 in Ana, Texas (north of McKinney).  For more inforamtion about the camp, contact Diedra at (469) 450-2120, or send an email to campconquer@yahoo.com.  To learn more about Vitas Hospice, contact Renee at (469) 323-5495, or check out their website at www.vitas.com/texas.

Listen in as 2 very dynamic individuals share their stories of using their careers to trigger becoming authors. What motivated them? What success have they experienced?  Peter Bowerman had a solid career in sales and marketing.  He began writing copy, turned that into a full time occupation, wrote and self-published his first book, The Well-Fed Writer.  He followed that with TWFW-Back for Seconds. Four years ago he added a third: The Well-Fed Self-Publisher: How to Turn One Book into a Full-Time Living. He also generates revised editions of his The Well-Fed Writer books.  Mike Pniewski has appeared in hundreds of films, TV shows, commercial and industrial films.  This past season he had a recurring role on The Good Wife and appears in the upcoming season of Drop Dead Diva.  Mike wrote When Life Gives You Lemons, Throw’em Back!: How to Create the Life You Want, No Matter What Comes Your Way.

A game changing shift is occurring in how we view the ownership of real estate. June Slusser, President and owner of Coldwell Banker High Country Realty has embarked on a passionate journey to shift the buying and selling experience in a place she describes as “the corner of America where Mayberry meets Aspen”.

In a place where 95% of real estate purchases are optional and industry and corporate relocations are few and far between, why is the real estate recovery in a region located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just 90 minutes from Atlanta, ahead of the trend line unfolding in most metropolitan areas?

June knows firsthand that a fundamental yearning for real and meaningful connections with people, community and the outdoors is what is driving this remarkable trend.

June Slusser is the president and owner of Coldwell Banker High Country Realty, the leading multi office real estate firm serving the resort real estate markets of a 7 county area located in North Georgia, Western North Carolina and Southeastern Tennessee.

June’s real estate career has spanned decades, state and international borders, multiple brands, and more titles on business cards than she can remember. In 2003 June and her husband George uprooted and moved their lives and their future to a small town 90 miles north of Atlanta. Little did she know of the amazing and fulfilling journey ahead.
