On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on Dr Christopher Tirotta, a pediatric specialist at Miami Children’s Hospital and CEO of American Scientific. Working with children every day has helped Dr Tirotta figure out better ways to solve common problems. It used to be a pain to take your small child’s temperature if he/she had a fever. Kids squirm, and hate having their temperature taken. So his firm has created the Kidz-Med 5 in 1 non-contact thermometer. This is the best thermometer out there – it is as accurate as any other thermometer. Now you can take your kids temperature without ever touching him/her. You can even take it when they’re sleeping without them even knowing.  You can even take the temperature of food, bathwater, baby bottles and more. To learn more about this product and all his other products please go to www.kidzmed.com

In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy share their favorite noodle soup recipe. Even though I’m not a big noodle guy i do really love Asian noodle soups. This recipe is pretty simple you can always add the veggies you like to customize it. And soup is great year round but it is especially satisfying when it is cold outside.  Start with 5 cups low sodium broth (chicken or vegetable). Add in some lemon grass, ginger, mushrooms, scallions, bean sprouts and some hot chili oil.  Use about 4 ounces of dry rice noodles as well. If you want to add some protein you can throw in some tofu.  Listen right now to hear Dr Fitness’ tips.
