On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy opened with barefoot runner Matt Jenkins. Matt shared some great
stories about running and the challenges of being a barefoot runner in an area that has lots of snakes. He realized that running helps you find balance in your life and that you are only competing with yourself not the other runners. He began running in the Marine Corps and has completed 95 marathons and 15 ultramarathons – most without shoes. Matt is the author of A Barefoot Run Across North Carolina. That book talks about his 760 mile barefoot run across his home state. Learn more about Matt and his crazy runs at http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/mattjenkins
