Karen Davis / Strategic Initiatives Director
Karen Davis currently serves as Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs’ (ACE) Strategic Initiatives Director. In this role, she directs ACE’s Women Investing in Successful Entrepreneurs (WISE) Initiative which is a $2.5 million revolving loan fund specifically for women entrepreneurs wanting to expand or start a business within Metro Atlanta and the North Georgia region. In addition to the loan funds, WISE offers business advisory support through individualized business consultations, business development seminars, speed coaching, and mentoring from high net-worth business owners. Karen is also the Principal Consultant of Curry Davis Consulting Group, LLC. Karen has more than 13 years of program management and community development experience and has made strides in her efforts to assist families with moving towards economic self-sufficiency, health and wellness.
Maria Peck / Loan Officer
Maria “Mayte” Peck was born in New York City and raised in Trujillo, Peru. Her 15-plus years of sales and marketing experience comes from a broad range of positions held in Atlanta and New York, giving her a diverse view of the industry. As the owner of Sweet Devil Moon Tapas Bar, she was personally responsible for meeting the financial challenges of running a restaurant, managing a 1.2 Million-dollar yearly budget for 6 years. Her search for additional funding led her to ACCION USA, a national micro-lender. She spent two years working from home after her daughter Victoria was born, then decided to work with Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs as Small Business Loan Officer. She works on community outreach initiatives, coaching financial education programs around town, one-on-one business consulting and lending.
Warren King hails from Wisconsin and spent over 35 years with the British Petroleum/Amoco Oil Company. He has held CEO and Sr. Global Management positions for BP/Amoco and has lived in Singapore and Hong Kong. He is currently a Group Chair for Vistage International, a company focused on establishing peer advisory boards for CEOs, Business Owners, and Sr. Executives. These boards are private, confidential, collaborative groups of non-competing business leaders. Warren is an engineer from the University of Wisconsin, holds an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and currently lives on Lake Lanier in Dawsonville, GA. He also teaches International Business at the University of North Georgia.
Mr. Coffin is the Executive Vice President and Banking Group Executive of Atlantic Capital Bank. He oversees the bank’s corporate and private banking divisions. Mr. Coffin’s background includes commercial, capital markets and corporate banking experience. Before co-founding Atlantic Capital Bank, he spent ten years at Wachovia Bank, most recently in the position of Senior Vice President and Atlanta Commercial Banking Team Leader. Prior to this role, he was the Head of the Business Services Corporate Banking Group following Wachovia’s merger with First Union. Prior to joining Wachovia in 1996, Mr. Coffin worked in New York in the Media and Telecommunications Group at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, Chemical Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank (through these two mergers).
Mr. Coffin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Dartmouth College. He received a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, with a Finance and International Business concentration.
We are pleased to announce the Midtown studio has been taken over by new affiliates, Dave Schwegman and CW Hall along with two of their partners. The studio currently hosts two underwritten shows, “Let’s Talk Small Business” and “TopDocsRADIO”, along with the house show, “Midtown Business Radio”. We are currently in discussions with new potential show underwriters so look for additional content to begin broadcasting soon. Dave and CW are very excited to be a part of the network and are firm believers in the power of this medium, having seen its ability to grow key relationships immediately upon starting their TopDocs show.
As part of our partnership with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Business RadioX broadcast LIVE from the 2014 Gwinnett Chamber Business Expo & Job Fair on August 21. Mike Sammond and Trey Odum with the Business RadioX Gwinnett studio interviewed dozens and dozens of business leaders throughout the day including the president of the Chamber, Dr. Daniel Kaufman, and many other business executives. The Raleigh area studio has had some amazing guests. The Wireless Research Center kicked off a series with Verizon Wireless called The DNA of the IoT (Internet of Things). Topics have been deep but fun as we discuss mobile devices, mobile networks, and, next month, mobile applications. NCTA hosted NeoNova and PointSource, and EntreDot’s new show Pivot Points showcased an associate from A Photographic Memory.
The Wilmington studio welcomed a new producer to the team! Joan Loch is bringing a new focus on helping companies get the word out about their businesses, and has begun training our new intern, Julia Vann, on best practices. Welcome, Joan and Julia!

Presented by the Gwinnett Medical Center, the 2014 Business Expo & Job Fair provided the ideal avenue to promote a company’s products and/or services. Beginning with the Chamber’s General Membership Meeting, intermingled with top-notch educational seminars and concluding with the largest Business After Hours of the year, the 2014 Business Expo & Job Fair was packed with opportunities to market an organization.

J has been making websites and software for the web since 1998, and has been credited with creating several software features web designers and developers take for granted today. He’s passionate about efficient, usable, aesthetically pleasing design, and founded Nine Labs, an experience and usability consultancy, where he works with companies far and wide to improve their products and services. He’s also the President of the Atlanta Web Design Group and the creator of the Web Afternoon event series.
Drew Morris / Pipefish
Prior to joining Pipefish, Drew Morris has been a consultant to private businesses since he was 15 years old. It was at 15 that he was approached to build a website for a local business in his hometown of Auburn, AL- launching his career. Over the past decade, he dedicated his career to programming in serverside software languages and building complex websites. Through the years, he has built an extensive clientele that continues to return for his reliability and job well done.
With over a decade of experience under his belt, Drew realizes the potential that web-based marketing and applications can have on a new business as well as the possibilities they have on growing existing businesses. Thus fueling his passion to develop amazing applications.
Drew graduated with his B.A. in French from Auburn University (Magna Cum Laude); he also studied Graphic Design and Business. Drew now lives in Atlanta, GA and continues to contribute to the business world as Lead Developer for Pipefish. He is fluent in many computer technologies including JavaScript, SQL, Python, PHP, Ruby, CSS, and HTML, as well as fluent in English and French. He can be found regularly at technology-based events in the Atlanta area. His other hobbies include guitar, piano, painting and archery.
Brian Cochran / Atlanta CS
Brian Cochran is CEO and Founding Partner of Atlanta CS. In that role he is responsible for making sure Atlanta CS continues to help organizations remove the technology constraints from their business. During his 15-year career, Brian has worked with Fortune 100 companies and startups alike in industries ranging from healthcare and financial services to social media. He specializes in Big Data technologies, Internet Of Things solutions, cloud adoption, enterprise integration, strategy, and technology assessments.
Brian has led numerous large-scale efforts to construct mission critical applications starting with proof-of-concept all the way through enterprise rollout, training, and operational support.
Through his own entrepreneurial ventures, and with Atlanta CS, Brian has also worked with numerous startups, and has extensive experience in helping startup founders smoothly go from idea to MVP and beyond.
Prior to Atlanta CS, Brian served as Lead Architect of Online Insight. In this role he led development of advanced analytics and e-commerce automation products targeted at the financial services and health insurance industries.
Mr. Cochran holds a BS in Computer Science with Highest Honors from Georgia Tech and is a private pilot.
