BRX Pro Tip: Success Story: Business Insurance Agent
Stone Payton: [00:00:00] And we are back with Business RadioX Pro Tips. Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you. For our Success Story series, Lee, let’s tell them about business insurance agent.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:12] Yeah. This is an early client of ours that we had that was having a hard time kind of differentiating herself and getting in front of her best customers. She was working for a large business insurance company, and she was just having a difficult time getting in front of the folks that she needed to get in front of in order to educate them and let them know that she, number one, existed and how she can help them.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:38] So, what we did for her was to create a show for her that spotlighted the best businesses in her market. And by doing this, she was no longer the woman that sold insurance. She was now the co-host of a radio show that was spotlighting the best and the brightest in business in her market. So, in the short time, the folks that were ignoring her were coming up to her and asking her how they can be a guest on her show. How come that Bob was invited and they were not invited? And folks that she was unable to reach out to or unable to get phone calls returned, all of a sudden, were returning her calls and wanting to connect with her. That led her to a ton of referral partners. It got her access to folks at the highest levels of government and municipalities. And they dramatically changed her book of business.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:34] So, it was one of those things where when she was one of many, it was difficult for her to differentiate herself. But when she became the host of a radio show that served her best clients, then, all of a sudden, she was in a blue ocean that only included her. And she was the gatekeeper they needed to go through in order to get on that show. So, that enabled her to have access to the folks that really made the difference in her business. So, once again, she grew her business by supporting and celebrating the work of the people in the business that she was serving.
