BRX Pro Tip: Content Should Educate, Entertain or Inspire
Stone Payton: [00:00:00] Welcome back to Business RadioX Pro Tips. Lee Kantor and Stone Payton here with you. Lee, if there are any rules about crafting and distributing content, I think it’s kind of holding hard and fast to the discipline that good content should educate, entertain, or inspire.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:23] Right. For people out there that are like, “How come my content isn’t going viral? Why aren’t more people listening to my content?” You’ve got to kind of look at yourself in the mirror. Every piece of content should either entertain, educate, or inspire. If you can do all three, then you have a chance to create a piece of content that is shareable and will be spread by others and, therefore, be listened to by more and more people.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:48] So, if you’re consistently producing content that does at least two of the three, then you’re going to be able to build a community over time with you in the center. That’s kind of at the heart of what Business RadioX does. That’s how we help our clients and serve our community. We help them become the voice of business in the communities we serve. And our clients become the voice of business in their niche or the communities that they serve, because we teach them how to create content that entertain, educates, and inspires.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:19] So, if you’re not doing that in your own content right now, if your content is you droning on about something, it’s not entertaining, people aren’t learning anything from it or they’re not inspired, then they’re not going to share it. People remark on things that are remarkable, so make your content more remarkable.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:40] Spend some time and energy in creating content that either entertains, educates, or inspires, or, ideally, all three. If you can do all three, then you have a chance to create a piece of content that will spread, go viral, and then be shared by other people. If it doesn’t do that or if it only does one of those things occasionally, then it’s going to be very difficult to get your client out there to a larger audience.
