BRX Pro Tip: What to Do When You Feel Stuck
Stone Payton: [00:00:00] Welcome back to BRX Pro Tips. Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you. Lee, let’s talk a little bit about what to do when you’re feeling stuck.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:10] Yeah. Feeling stuck is something that a lot of people are feeling, especially nowadays when we’re dealing with this pandemic. A lot of times you feel like you’re not moving. Your progress isn’t happening fast enough. And this is a completely normal natural thing in normal times. And, now, especially, it’s normal to have it happen. I think what you can do to get ahead of it though and prevent it from happening in the first place is, to just be aware that these kind of bad habits, these procrastination, and other bad habits like that can spiral you into this negative stuckness.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:46] And something that I like to do whenever I feel like I’m not making progress or I’m not doing something is to focus on what I can control. And I try to control what I can control. I can take action. I can appreciate what I have. I can kind of bring in an accountability partner that can hold me accountable and to make sure that I’m achieving the goals that I set out to achieve.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:10] But the bottom line is, you can only control what you can control. Focus in on that. Do more, kind of think less. And I think at the bottom line of all of this is that when you take action, you have a chance to kind of break out of that stuckness. When you don’t take action, you feel sorry for yourself. You kind of get into this victim spiral. Then, you will kind of stay stuck. So, my advice is to take action.
