BRX Pro Tip: 7 Questions Your LinkedIn Profile Should Answer
Stone Payton: [00:00:00] Welcome back to Business RadioX Pro Tips. Lee Kantor and Stone Payton here with you. Lee, this is timely, I’m kind of revisiting my LinkedIn profile. What should I be thinking about as I update that thing?
Lee Kantor: [00:00:13] Yeah. You know, at one point everybody said you better be good on Google because everybody’s going to Google you, and that’s absolutely true. But it’s also true that everybody’s going to check out your LinkedIn profile before they hire you. So, your LinkedIn profile should be doing some work for you. And here’s some questions your LinkedIn profile should be answering, because people are going to be checking out your LinkedIn profile, and you want it to be portraying you in the right light and in a positive manner.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:43] So, number one, you better be clear on answering the question of what do you do. People want to know what you do specifically to see if it’s a good fit for them. Also, if you could answer how do you do what you do, what makes you different, that would be great. And why does what you do work, that would also be a good question to answer in your LinkedIn profile, so people understand that you’re bringing something unique to the table.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:08] You can list the services you provide, that’s helpful because then they know that they can get those things with you. Another thing to have in there that’s important, if you can do this in an elegant way, if you’ve been on podcasts or if you’ve been published somewhere, where might someone have seen you, that gives them that social proof, that third party kind of recommendation that helps. You know, if you have any testimonials, that’d be great. What have some of your clients said about you, that’s a great thing to answer too. If you have some testimonials, that’s helpful.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:41] And probably the most important thing is how can someone get a hold of you. There has to be some call to action, some way to contact you so you can move them off of that platform, LinkedIn, onto your website, into your calendar. Anything like that would be helpful. So, make sure that your LinkedIn profile is working for you.
