BRX Pro Tip: Low Cost Marketing Tactic You’re Not Doing
Stone Payton: And we are back with Business RadioX Pro Tips. Lee Kantor and Stone Payton here with you. Lee, let’s dedicate this tip to marketing tactics.
Lee Kantor: Yeah. This is a great low cost, no cost marketing tactic you can use that, I bet you, you’re not doing or you’re not doing enough. This is something that I stumbled upon when I had my gym many, many years ago. It’s partnering with other local businesses to create kind of a win-win-win opportunity for you, the partner, and the customer.
Lee Kantor: So, when we had the gym, we would partner with like a local smoothie shop, and then anytime a smoothie shop patron would come in, they would get a special deal, a discount of some kind. Then in turn, the smoothie shop would promote our gym within the smoothie shop. So, the benefit was the smoothie shop got an additional opportunity to kind of talk about the smoothie shop. The guest of the smoothie shop, you know, the patron got a discount if they came in at our place. So, we’re all promoting each other. We’re all trying to help the customer get, you know, kind of more bang for their buck.
Lee Kantor: So, that is kind of a simple idea that can really generate word of mouth and open your business up to an increased customer flow because you’re getting a complimentary business’s customer base aware of your offering. So, it’s one of those things where you just find those complimentary businesses around you that you could be sharing customers that you don’t compete with and you help each other kind of get the word out about each of your offerings.
Lee Kantor: And then, nowadays, with the advent of social media, documenting any of that involvement or how you’re going to do that is a great way to create that social media that you both need and that you can use that to support each other as well.
