BRX Pro Tip: Stop Accepting Mediocre Performance
Stone Payton: [00:00:00] And we are back with Business RadioX Pro Tips. Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you, Lee, if you’re going to run a successful business, and it’s going to be sustainable quarter after quarter, year after year, I mean, one of the key disciplines is you got to stop accepting mediocre performance.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:20] Yeah, you got to aim higher. And if it takes you needing more A and B players in order to grow, find them because you’re not going to be able to grow and serve all the people you want to serve without the help of other people. So, expect more from your team. Help them level up or free them up. Those are the choices. They’re going to be part of the team to get to the next level or they’re not. And you can’t kind of make someone want it as much as you want it. So, you can give them a path, you can give them tools, you can give them inspiration and help but, ultimately, they can do it or they can’t.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:57] And if it isn’t working out, you got to free up their future. It’s nothing personal to them. Maybe this just isn’t the right fit for them. But you got to have a sense of urgency. And remember, with the right partners, you can do anything. And you may not survive if you don’t have the right team around you. Business isn’t for the faint of heart. So, it’s hard to have a business and a service that keeps growing. And in order to really grow, you got to have A and B players around you. So, aim higher and don’t accept mediocre performance any longer.
