BRX Pro Tip: Be a Problem Solver, Not a Problem Finder
Stone Payton: [00:00:00] Welcome back to Business RadioX Pro Tips. Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you. Lee, today’s advice, be a problem solver, not a problem finder.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:12] Amen to that. I think that everybody has somebody in their network that is always finding and harping on the exception to the rule. They’re the ones that always have found, “Oh, this doesn’t work. Oh.” They’re always complaining about something. In any type of relationship and any type of organization, it’s important to be the person that solves problems, the person who figures out how to make something work the way it is.
Stone Payton: [00:00:38] Things are never perfect. Things are never going to go exactly as planned. Don’t complain about that. It’s just a fact of life. Like Ryan Holiday says, “The obstacle is the way.” There are going to be obstacles. There are going to be challenges. Your job is to figure out how to make things work. Your job is to figure out how to solve these problems that come up.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:00] People want to work with problem solvers. People want to hang out with people who can make things happen, that can create something from nothing, not the people that get bogged down by the problem, that marinate in the problem, that point out all of the problems and all the challenges and all the things that make this seemingly impossible. It is much better to be the problem solver, the person who can get things done, not the person that is complaining about how great things used to be.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:28] You want to be a problem solver, get into problem-solving mindset every single day. Practice it. Lean into it. Do not be a complainer. Be a problem solver.
