BRX Pro Tip: Surround Yourself With Better People
Stone Payton: [00:00:00] Welcome back to Business RadioX Pro Tips. Lee Kantor and Stone Payton here with you, Lee, we really should, if we’re trying to improve ourselves, improve our results, we should be consistently seeking to surround ourselves with better people, yeah?
Lee Kantor: [00:00:19] Yeah, I think it’s Jim Rohn who said that you’re the average of the five people you hang around the most. And if that’s true, and I believe that’s true to a large extent, you’ve got to constantly be hanging out with better and better people. And better doesn’t have to mean more successful or wealthier, but they should be better, and that they’re making you better, and they’re kind of upping your game in the areas that you need help in.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:45] And the more special people you have around you, the better your chances of success will be. These people will be role models for your success, they’ll inspire you to be better, they’ll demonstrate the behaviors of success, and they’re going to hold you accountable to be better. And that’s what everybody needs. So, keep upgrading your peer group.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:05] And that means, periodically pruning people who are negative, who are energy depleters, who are takers. You’ve got to find more generous people, more supportive people, more cheerleaders, the people that are going to hold you to a higher standard, and then, you’re going to help hold them to a higher standard as well. So, keep working on this, and you’re going to see the results will come pretty quickly.
