Lisa says that life is a series of reunions so you should be creating events to train form throughout your life. Lisa is called the Running Nutritionist because she has run numerous marathons, triathlons and other amazing races. Her books gives you tips to get into reunion shape for all the reunion like events in your life. Some tips are: don’t bring your spouse to your reunion; create a different plan for the different time frames you have until your reunion; add 5 colors to your diet each day and chocolate brown can’t be one of them; wear something age appropriate; do some exercise in order to burn some calories and remember her 3 Fs food, fitness and faith. We’ve been traveling quite a bit lately so we have picked a few of our favorite tips to get in your exercise while on the road. Bring an mp3 player or ipod with you so you can listen to something while you walk, run or jog. Also its a good idea to pack resistance tubing so you can get a strength training workout in. In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy explain why its better to stretch after you exercise. Instead of doing those static stretches where you touch your toes, or push against a wall, etc. try just moving around with a light jog in order to get your heart rate up.  By warming up your muscles gently through these dynamic moves you will get a better workout. On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on IWFL star running back with the DC Divas Rachelle Pecovsky. Rachelle is considered one of the early pioneers of the modern version of women’s tackle football. The IWFL regular season runs from April to July. Rachelle talked about her unique training method and how she transformed herself from a gymnast to a bruising running back who averaged over 10 yards a carry.
