John Haber is the Founder and CEO of Spend Management Experts. With nearly two decades of transportation spend management experience, John has helped some of the world’s leading brands drive greater efficiencies through their supply chain operations while reducing transportation costs.

John began his career at UPS where he held various executive level positions in corporate finance and was instrumental in developing profitability and costing models. He also managed the carrier’s National Accounts Profitability Group where he audited the pricing and profitability of UPS’ top customers.

John’s finance background combined with decades of experience working with high volume shippers enables him to offer unique insights on strategic supply chain planning including distribution model optimization, transportation cost analysis, and carrier contract optimization and compliance.

An active speaker at industry events including Parcel Forum and Internet Retailer, John is widely considered one of the logistics industry’s foremost thought leaders on transportation spend management. He is frequently quoted and published in national business and trade media such as the Wall Street Journal, Inbound Logistics, and Parcel magazine. In 2014, John was named one of the top 100 Supply & Demand Chain Executive Pros to Know for the third consecutive year.

John is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with a BS in Political Science.

Matthew Bean is the General Manager of BioLab, Inc. a KIK Custom Products Company, that is also one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer packaged goods. KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.

Chris Barnes is a recognized thought leader within the Supply Chain industry. He earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University and later earned an MBA (with honors) with emphasis on Organizational Development. He is passionate about sharing knowledge and continued professional development for both himself and others.

Barnes has contributed to 35+ publications and presented to or trained 1,500+ professionals.  He currently serves as the lead consultant for HighJump, the leading provider of supply chain execution solutions.

Mike McCurdy is the Executive Director at Georgia Employers Association. Mike spent over 35 years in Human Resources leadership in the Manufacturing sector. He served the Blue Bird Corporation as Vice-President of Human Resources and External Affairs beginning in 1998 until his retirement in January 2017.

His career in Human Resources included the design of employee benefit programs, effective management of EHS and implementation of workers compensation cost control programs and union avoidance. His experience also includes multi-facility responsibilities at locations in both the U.S. and Canada.  Mike’s efforts with the recruitment of veterans, those with disabilities, and candidates from correctional institutions have resulted in recognition from the State.  Mike has shown the importance of developing relationships with local and State officials to support the growth initiatives of the organization. John W. Phillips (LTC, U.S. Army Retired), is the Executive Director of Boots to Loafers, LLC., an organization focused on helping military personnel successfully transition to civilian life. Jason Moss is often referred to as the “Master networker”. As the founder of the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance he focuses his efforts to support, serve and grow the manufacturing industry in Georgia. Known for his creativity, Jason has successfully developed and implemented several unique marketing and promotional events that have brought awareness to the people, plants and products of Georgia. As an example, Jason created the 2013 and 2014 Georgia Manufacturing EXPO. These events were a huge success and attended by more than 1,000 people.

Political leaders have recognized his efforts in promoting the manufacturing industry in Georgia. Jason was joined by more than 70 Georgia manufacturing leaders at the State Capitol as part of the official photo when Governor Nathan Deal presented him with the “BUY FROM GEORGIA” Proclamation. Jason has been the driving force behind this proclamation for the past two years as a way to encourage citizens and businesses to buy locally manufactured goods year-round.

Jason was awarded the “Georgia Community Leadership Award” at the 2015 Georgia Entertainment Gala. At the 2015 IMPACT Regional Business awards ceremony GMA was a finalist in the Service Industry Category.
