Located in Tempe, 10 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and 15 minutes from Arizona State University, the MAC6 Entrepreneurial Center offers 110,000 square feet of space including traditional and non-traditional private office suites and a variety of coworking office space solutions; all in service to growth-oriented entrepreneurs, startups and mid-market enterprise businesses.

Kyle-McIntoshWith a focus in marketing and a background in various for profit and not for profit companies, including much professional and volunteer work, Kyle McIntosh wondered, “How can I pair the passion and commitment to community progress of a non-profit with the sustainability and reach of a for profit company?”

From this question and perspective a mission evolved to tear down the false distinction between the two sectors and to promote companies with Conscious Capitalism® business models through MAC6.

Albert-Loveland-Phoenix-Business-RadioAlbert Loveland has joined the MAC⁶ Team full-time.

Al will be helping us to takeMAC⁶ to the next level as Vice President of Operations(and, for all of you who are familiar with EOS, as the MAC⁶Integrator).

THINK FIT-GET FIT-STAY FIT Kyle McInstosh with MAC6 and Brian Mohr with Conscious Capitalism Arizona

Our first show is in the books for “Think Fit, Get Fit, Stay Fit”, hosted by Scott Marsh, sponsored by Mind and Body Strengthening, and his guests Kyle McIntosh with MAC6 and Brian Mohr from the AZ Chapter Conscious Capitalism.

We found out great background information on how each of them came to be in their current positions and how wellness plays an important role in all they do. Discussing their thoughts and experiences with corporate wellness programs, and the benefits to their employees, including the companies ROI. We shared the concern for obesity, including childhood obesity and the lack of physical education/activity today in schools.

Lastly we discussed how health and wellness fall under the four Conscious Capitalism tenets, 1) Higher Purpose 2) Stakeholder Orientation 3) Conscious Leadership 4) Conscious Culture.

This segment of “Think Fit, Get Fit, Stay Fit” is for anyone interested in learning more about Conscious Capitalism and what it means, what MAC6 to offer, especially in the health and fitness areas. MAC6 has a gym that anyone working in their work-space has access to with an on site Personal Trainer.

One of the main key points in a company wellness program, is that its success starts with its leaders at the top.  If a company is considering incorporating a wellness program and is looking for an example, MAC6 has done a wonderful job of making it part of their culture.

Kyle-McIntosh-with-MAC6-Communities-on-Phoenix-Business-RadioXWith a background in marketing, in various for profit and not for profit companies, Kyle McIntosh wondered, “How can I pair the passion and commitment to community progress of a non-profit with the sustainability and reach of a for profit company?” From this question and perspective a mission evolved to tear down the false distinction between the two sectors and to promote companies with Conscious Capitalism® business models through MAC6.

Kyle is the President and Creative Excitant of MAC6.  Day to day, his main operational role is on the “spaces” side of the business, focusing on creating thriving communities in the commercial office buildings, the co-working space, and the co-manufacturing space.  The other role that he plays is that of EOS implementer, working with clients to bring the Entrepreneurial Operating System, from the book Traction® to their businesses.  Additionally, he sits on the boards of Conscious Capitalism Arizona, telling the stories of good businesses in Arizona, and The Tempe Chamber of Commerce, sustaining Tempe’s quality of life and keeping our community and economy vibrant.

Kyle loves Arizona and wants to see us all collectively find great success based on the awesome things that are happening here every day.

Follow MAC6 on Facebook and Twitter.

Brian-Mohr-with-Conscious-Capitalism-Arizona-on-Phoenix-Business-RadioXBrian Mohr’s career-to-date has been a learning-based journey with an intense focus on people, purpose, values, culture, leadership, and advocating capitalism as a force for good. Brian was a founding member of Jobing.com, one of the original online job boards, which he helped grow to over 350 employees and $38M in revenue over an 11-year period. He later became director of talent strategy & acquisition for P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Pei Wei Asian Diner restaurants before joining forces with his co-founder, Max Hansen, to create the first purpose-based leadership search firm, Y Scouts, in 2012. In the summer of 2018, Brian doubled down on his commitment to leveraging business as a powerful force for good and joined the Arizona Chapter of Conscious Capitalism as its first President. Together with Scott McIntosh, Founder & Chairman of the Arizona Chapter of Conscious Capitalism, Brian is focused on helping the Arizona business community practice capitalism with both a long-term view and a stakeholder-centric orientation; a model of business that creates prosperity for all.

Brian is on the Global Board of Trustees of Conscious Capitalism, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of the Pacific Southwest, and anticipating the launch of his first book, “Hiring on Purpose – How the Y Scouts Method is Revolutionizing the Search for Leaders”. Brian’s most important and cherished responsibilities are being the lucky father to his 2 daughters, Taylor and Riley, and the proud husband to his wife, Jackie. In his spare time, you’ll find Brian practicing guitar and enjoying an occasional game of Texas Hold ’em Poker.

CULTURE CRUSH RX Resound Creative with Eric Myers and Jennifer Burwell with MAC6

In this episode of Culture Crush Rx we explored company culture from the standpoint of first identifying your true values as a company. We discuss the differences between aspirational values (the ones you want to live) and those you actually exhibit. Jennifer and Eric shed light on how to identify the disconnects and then shift into a healthier company culture where everyone feels heard and appreciated.

Whether you’re leading an established company or looking to cultivate culture in a startup, you’ll find some great advice in this episode! We talk about finding clarity in creating or updating core values, how to identify culture fit when hiring, and how to create a caring environment where those who choose to self-select out of a company feel supported. We also crack a few jokes – and yes, we think we’re a pretty entertaining group!

Resound-logo-red

Resound believes your organization is remarkable…but maybe your brand isn’t. They help organizations discover their remarkable stories and build authentic brands around them to engaged customers in a compelling way that makes them come back for more.

Based in Tempe, Arizona, this branding and marketing team is passionate about not only building new brands, but also refining and redefining existing brands that need a little shot in the arm.

eric-myers-with-resound-creative-on-phoenix-business-radioXEric Myers uses his chameleon-like background to lead Resound’s day-to-day client and creative operations. His unique mix of leadership, content development, client services, and training skills (not to mention his previous law enforcement experience) help him blend into the internal team and external client surroundings.

“Being exposed to government, big business, startups, and small companies has really helped me learn the dynamics at play in each setting. And while each type of organization has its ups and downs, being part of a smaller business and helping others grow seems to be a sweet spot for me. I love developing relationships with clients and teammates, and I’m always hungry to find out how I can best serve them.”

Eric is an accomplished facilitator, speaker, trainer, team leader, actor, and voiceover artist who has conducted programs for top-ranked Fortune companies as well as smaller businesses. He has also served on the board of directors for a local drowning prevention organization and spent countless hours volunteering to lead worship for a few local churches.

In his “me time” you might find Eric playing guitar and singing, sipping a fine glass of wine or a cordial of whiskey (neat, please), or hiking some remote peak in northern Arizona.

THE ENTREPRENEURIAL OPERATING SYSTEM WITH EOS IMPLEMENTER JON DEITER

Jon Deiter has worked for over 30 years in leadership positions in privately held and family owned entrepreneurial businesses as well as smaller divisions of public companies.  He earned an MBA in Finance from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois and he is a CPA with Accreditation in Business Valuation and Certified Global Management Accountant.  He has held positions in a variety of industries as Tax Advisor, Consultant, Controller, Vice President, CFO, and President.

In 2014, Jon was working on the leadership team of a company which began implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS®). Jon experienced first-hand the value and power of EOS and its simple tools to establish a clear vision, gain traction toward that vision, and grow a healthy team

Jon came to realize his true motivation and passion ….. to help many more companies achieve great things through implementing EOS!  He was trained as a Professional EOS Implementer and since 2015 has been working with organizations to help them implement EOS.  He is no longer a practicing CPA and is focusing 100% of his time on his passion.  He offers his implementation/coaching services through his company, Jon Deiter Solutions, LLC.

EOS is a people-centric management system that embodies successful, proven ways of working with people and a team. In addition to company growth and achieving the life you desire, implementing EOS has positive impacts to employees, culture and team health.  Jon’s leadership career in manufacturing, distribution and service businesses, along with experience as both a user and implementer of EOS, give him a unique perspective to pursue his passion of helping business owners and leadership teams achieve all they want from their business.

Jon lives in Chandler, Arizona with his wife Julie, having moved to Arizona from Chicago suburbs in 2003.
