David Aferiat/Avid Vines

Avid Vines puts French & European clean, sustainably crafted wine within walking distance of desire. AVID Vines was started to solve the problems experienced the next day after celebrating – which is why their selections are characterized by lower alcohol, fewer sulfites, and the highest quality and classification of juice. They temperature control their shipments from vineyard to destination to reinforce this approach. In fact, they call it an OCEAN of difference (TM) compared to the industrial production of the widely marketed brands which stands for Organic methods, Chilled on import, Exceptionally reviewed, Artisanal, with #NoRegrets.

Mac Cregger/Angel Oak Home Loans

Angel Oak Home Loans has had the pleasure of helping a significant number of homebuyers become proud homeowners. This is because they offer traditional loans along with a portfolio suite of products for those who fall outside of conventional guidelines. Every client is different and they recognize that through their innovative offerings for people with diverse loan circumstances. Not every lender has the options to help and that is what sets them apart in the mortgage industry. Angel Oak’s licensed mortgage advisors are experts at guiding homebuyers to the right product and getting to the closing table as quickly as possible. They understand that busy lives do not come to a halt during a home purchase and the MyHomeLoan mobile app allows their clients to view their mortgage on the go.

Their most popular programs include Bank Statement, which is ideal for self-employed borrowers, with no tax returns required; Jumbo, which helps those purchasing homes outside the conforming limit; Non-Prime, for those with lower credit scores; Investor Cash Flow, which allows investors to grow their portfolios; and Foreign National, with non-US credit accepted, no tax returns or Social Security number required.

Glade Johnson/Advantage Protective Services

Glade Johnson is a former FBI Agent who worked for two national companies before buying Advantage Protective Services in 2004. Glade focuses on customer service and relationships, as well as taking care of his employees so they feel good about working for his company. This reduces turnover. He also provides them with an excellent benefit package. In addition, they offer advances to employees when they need it. He doesn’t know of any other companies in any industry that does that. Several clients have been with Advantage Protection Services 10 to 14 years. They try to build lasting relationships with their clients.

“Member Spotlight” features and highlights businesses and business leaders that are members of the Gwinnett Chamber. This month’s episode showcases three of the recent 2019 Gwinnett Small Business Award Winners.

The Gwinnett Chamber’s NEW Small Business Awards showcase those that dare to start, sustain and succeed and the community that supports them. They are the risk-takers, the problem solvers, the dreamers and the doers.

Amanda Sutt/Rock Paper Scissors (Culture Creator Award)

Rock Paper Scissors is a team of Creative Generators who create fresh and innovative ideas rooted in a solid business mindset. They inspire growth through creative branding, content marketing, and web design solutions that increase visibility and brand engagement for their clients.

Steven Julian/Business RadioX (Support System Award)

Business RadioX is in the relationship building business. Their expertise centers on helping you grow your business. Their live in-studio shows have all the benefit of radio and these shows later become podcasts with an exponential reach and shelf life. Simply said, you get the best of both worlds.

Business RadioX helps build your brand, gain exposure, build relationships with people who are difficult to reach or meet, saves you time, and positions you as an industry leading authority. They focus on bringing quality human beings together for much needed (distraction free) conversations that build relationships. They are not simply about about ROI (though it is great) but about ROR (return on relationship).

Business Radio is the tool and their “X factor” is saving you time (your most valuable currency) to expedite the sales cycle built on authenticity and trust. Let them help you grow your business to the “X” level.

Rebecca Sarlea/Refresh Chiropractic (Launch Award)

Refresh Chiropractic was born from the vision of renewal for your life. They believe in the tonal model of Chiropractic that focuses on the nervous system and related changes to a person’s physiology. As such, they look at the tone of nervous system first. Every tissue, organ and cell has an ideal tone that allows for maximal function. Just like the strings on the bridge of a violin, each string has their unique tone so that combined, a beautiful melody comes from the instrument. If a violin string was not set to its proper tension, tone, the note that plays isn’t quite right, but with a small adjustment, the tension, tone can be reestablished.

Refresh Chiropractic believes in practicing within the philosophy that “the power that made the body, heals the body.” This philosophy explains the ability of the body to express life and how that life flows through the body and mind, determines how healthy and alive you will be. When you do not express life fully, the body becomes sick, unhealthy, tired, stressed and unable to adapt to worldly forces. By keeping the spinal cord free from interference and allowing the flow of life to travel over the nerve system, you can express life and live to your fullest potential.
