Testimony:

My love for God is evident in my service and worship to him but I haven’t always been this way. Saved from drugs, alcohol and a life of promiscuity, God has showed himself strong in my life and it is my goal to do the same for him. I want my life to reflect his glory. I’m not perfect and I know I will fall short but I have my mind made up that ‘I shall serve him all the days of my life.’

One day I was reading 1st Kings 13 in which the prophet disobeyed God… verse 21: ‘For as much as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee.’

When I read this, it shook me. No matter who you are obedience is better than sacrifice and that it’s important to follow God’s instructions to the ‘T’. God is not playing. That chapter inspired 1st Kings Apparel and the first design ‘Don’t fight D.E.A.T.H.’ Don’t fight doing everything according to him (Christ). Die to self and live for him.

God is great and mighty and I encourage you to have a relationship with Him. Fellowship and commune with him, and watch how your life changes. 1st Kings Apparel is just a mere reflection of our hearts and service to God. I appreciate your support. God Bless.

Collette Caters Inc. is a company that was birthed out of the heart and mind of Lindsay Collette Edwards, single mother of four who always had a love of cooking and entertaining the masses. Lindsay often used cooking to bring her family and friends together to celebrate life, make hard times easier, and to try some of her new creations. Often times Lindsay used her kitchen as her safe haven from the everyday stresses of life. When Lindsay was laid off from her job, it caused her to think about her dreams and visions and what she really desired rather than to search for another dead end job.

After much consideration and speaking to her support system, she came to the conclusion that being able to earn a living doing what she loves to do while giving the gift of great food to others is her ultimate dream. Being able to turn what she loves to do into multiple streams of income is what this country is founded upon.

Alexandria Alli is the Owner and Designer at F&W Style. Her passion for fashion started at the early age of ten, when she persuaded her mother to let her assist at her Fashion Design Studio everyday after school. It was there that she learned a lot about design and running a fashion business. At the age of thirteen her family moved from Nigeria to Atlanta, Georgia and she started a modeling career. She modeled for major companies throughout the United States.

As her modeling career advanced she fell in love with the beauty and glamour of the industry. She fell in love with the well crafted luxurious items, specifically handbags. However, she soon realized that most women including herself could not afford the luxurious accessories and clothing that she modeled in magazines and on the runway.

Meet Author and Philanthropist R. Nikki Chaney, a Business Major Graduate. After a decade of suffering from domestic violence and abuse, Author Chaney was inspired to write and self-publish her first novel, “Till Death Do Him Part: Marriage Vows To Die For,” in 2011, to inspire other women who may have been affected by this epidemic. Roessler Research Fellowship Award and has been recognized for excellence in surgery, plastic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. While in medical school, Dr. Myla was selected to serve as an instructor and tutor to other medical students in such disciplines as immunology, biochemistry and anatomy.
