Dahlys LLR 2-21-14

Legacy Leaders Radio offered a fresh perspective on today’s show with host Jack Perry, Jr., guest co-host Karon Cook, and Georgia State House Candidate Dahlys Hamilton, talking micro-farming, healthy produce, and a little bit of politics. Dahlys has a passion for empowering young farmers, growing fresh foods, and an active goal to make her district, (Georgia District 97), number one for organic farming and healthy dining.

Dahlys Hamilton wants to see farm-to-dinner-table foods grown in the best organic conditions locally, with affordable, easy access distribution to everyone in the community.  She has a passion for keeping education local as well. Dahyls considers many Federal programs to be intrusive, and that we should empower teachers and parents in the community by excluding bureaucratic interference.

Today’s show gave us a chance to get to know Dahlys Hamilton, and her campaign to run for Georgia State House 97th District.  If you would like to know more about Dahlys, and support her campaign, you can get more information, or reach her at www.dahlyshamilton.com or www.linkedinliveevents.com

Ron Leonardi LLR

Legacy Leaders Radio and its host Jack Perry, Jr., was all about business today with Dan Leonardi, Vice President at Bickel’s Snack Foods, a division of Hanover Foods. Hanover Foods is the largest, independently owned food processor in the eastern United States. Dan started his career as a Pepsi truck driver, and by learning from mentors, listening, and seeking first to understand; elevated his career to the leadership team of this Fortune 500 company.

Dan discussed with Jack Perry that some of his greatest accomplishments in his career are leaving a legacy developing people. “It’s the most rewarding aspect of management.” He spoke about the teachings of FranklinCovey’s “Seven Highly Effective Habits,” and what has worked for him in his years of leadership.

Anyone with corporate aspirations should pay close attention to Dan’s wisdom on this week’s Legacy Leaders Radio, especially listeners beginning their career.  His personal experience earning his way through the ranks and building teams is valuable information for anyone building a career.

Jack Perry, Jr. and guest host Karon Cook welcomed Denis Oliverio on today’s Legacy Leaders Radio show.  Denis is with the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization that honors and empowers wounded veterans. Winchester, Denis’ service dog, joined him in the studio for the show.

Denis knows first hand the tough issues our soldiers face when they return from the battlefield with injuries. He is a veteran who was injured during his tour in Iraq.

Jack and Karon discover from Denis the story of his injury, his journey through recovery, his transition into civilian life, and the role Wounded Warrior Project played in helping him return to a so-called normal lifestyle.

Wounded Warrior Project raises awareness about injured service members and enlists the public to come to the aid of their needs through direct programs and services.  For more information, please visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org
