CatRangers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates from their adoption and visitors center in Historic Buford, GA. The center has a home-like atmosphere where rescued and orphaned cats and kittens can recover and heal as can families who visit. CatRangers is a no-kill rescue that is entirely free roaming (cage free), so their adoptable cats can become accustomed to living in a home and potential adopters can see their true nature. CatRangers rescues cats and kittens facing dire situations, including abandonment, family crisis, injury, and overcrowded animal control facilities, providing them with medical care, and a loving environment while working to find them forever homes. CatRangers has rescued and found homes for over 7,700 cats and kittens since 2010. The 3rd Annual CatRangers Charity Golf Tournament teed off on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Legacy Golf Course at Lanier Islands. The tournament featured 18 holes of picturesque golf including five that included hole-in-one cash prizes with a top prize of $20,000. Golfers also competed in a Putting Contest, Beat the Pro contest, and Closest to the Pin and Long Drive Contests. The day was topped off with raffle prizes, along with delicious food and drinks.

Amanda Pearch Marmolejo and Dan Braverman of Gwinnett Business RadioX were at the Legacy Golf Course to interview the Founder of CatRangers Sparrow Marcioni, and some of the sponsors and golfers.

CatRangers is a 501(c)(3) licensed urgent need animal rescue that was founded in 2005. CatRangers rescue began as a two year long feral cat program with the Corp of Engineers at Lake Lanier, GA when a large colony of feral cats was mandated for destruction. Through group efforts and cooperation among many humane organizations, almost all the cats were rescued and properly spayed or neutered.

Today, Catrangers has rescued over 6,000 cats and kittens and placed them in loving homes, provided medical care for countless others, and assisted many families in feeding and caring for their furry family members. This includes many seniors and special needs kitties who would truly have no other place to go. That’s why CatRangers was founded as the “Special Forces” of cat rescue.

CatRangers rescues only animals that are facing imminent euthanasia or other life threatening event. These can be shelter animals on death row, abandoned animals, or even those caught up in a family crisis. CatRangers works primarily through their Adoption & Visitor Center in Buford, Georgia, where rescued kitties can recover before finding their loving forever homes.
