DeWitte Thompson and Stephanie Wolfe

Welcome to the 2nd episode of “Live Well“. Follow the journey of Mike and Tracy as they continue their trek to better health with the help of two experts: Health and wellness coach Stephanie Wolfe and personal trainer DeWitte Thompson.

Stephanie Wolfe/The Whole Food Health Coach

Stephanie Wolfe is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, which is the highest level of training available to health coaches and is a coveted partnership with physicians and medical practitioners. She works with clients individually or as a group through a step by step process using advanced coaching methods, offering her clients full access to resources and tools to support them throughout their health journey. As a two-time cancer survivor (now 18 years clean) she knows about body systems and the nutrition that fuels them. She calls herself a “preventionist” because it is her believe that prevention is a stronger goal than finding a cure or treatment for diseases that are robbing us from our health and happiness.

DeWitte Thompson/Healthy Life & Fitness Consultants

DeWitte Thompson is a certified personal trainer and performance enhancement specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and owner of Healthy Life & Fitness Consultants, Inc. DeWitte has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 12 years working with sports teams, corporate groups, and individuals helping them to achieve their health and fitness goals. He started Healthy Life & Fitness Consultants, Inc. four years ago when he realized the need for personalized and convenient training that gets results.

In 2013, E.M. Watson experienced a traumatic divorce that sent him over the edge. For 3 years he faced alcoholism, depression, near death and financial strain which all came to a screeching halt after being admitted into the hospital on October 15th, 2016. After a rapid decline in his health, E.M. Watson was forced to go to the hospital which consisted of a 3-week long fight for his life. This experience changed his life and motivated him to tackle all of his ailments with a more holistic approach. With the help of Espeuté Productions, he was able to create a multi-award winning experimental film that highlights his 3-year spiritual metamorphosis.

“THE TOUGHEST SPORT ON DIRT”

The rules are simple. Place a wiry 150-pound cowboy on the back of a hulking, snorting temperamental 2,000 pound bull and see if he can ride the beast for an eternal eight seconds…with one hand strapped to the bull’s massive backside.

In 1992, when 20 bull riders from the rodeo circuit came together to give life to a dream they all shared, they never imagined it would so quickly develop into what has officially been declared the fastest growing sport in America – the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). The riders pooled their resources – $1,000 each – and broke away from the confines of the rodeo format to make bull riding, the most popular of the seven events in traditional rodeo, a standalone sport and take it to major markets across the United States. Today the visionary founders are riding a wave of popularity as the PBR continues its charge as one of the fastest-growing properties in the history of sports.

The PBR has rapidly transformed one of the fastest-growing sports in America into a worldwide phenomenon. In just two decades, the dream of 20 bull riders has grown into a global sports sensation that has awarded more than $140 million in prize money.

Professional bull riding is a fierce, rough, and grueling sport with roots deeply imbedded in American culture. It’s America’s original extreme sport.

Rob Young & Steve Kendrick/Back to School Backpack Program

May is not usually the time of year you think about giving generously. But it is the perfect time to consider helping Subaru of Gwinnett and Infiniti of Gwinnett do just that. The Back to School Backpack Program is a non-profit charity that works to provide necessary school supplies and backpacks to children in Gwinnett County who are in need. This is a charity that is near and dear to our hearts.

When Steve K. Kendrick, Executive General Manager of Infiniti of Gwinnett and Subaru of Gwinnett, found out that Gwinnett County would have more than 5,000+ homeless children attending school, he asked his employees if they could all get behind the effort to help provide these children with something that would give them hope, trust and self-esteem for the future. From this, the Back to School Back Pack Program was launched in 2007. Each as the need has grown we have risen to meet the challenge. But we can’t do it alone!

That is where you come in. The 11th Annual Back to School Backpack Program Golf Classic will take place on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Bears Best Golf Course in Suwanee.
