Try and limit the distractions at meal time – no toys, no TV, no books…only food. You want to make the mealtime as enjoyable as possible for your kid so ease off the disciplining for not eating. Schedules change – time is short and everyone is rushed. Try to have your child eat a healthy breakfast each morning and throw in a healthy snack like a piece of fruit in their backpack.  Shoot for some fiber and some protein and/or some fruit. Your kid may need a supplement like some extra omega 3 fatty acids like fish oil a probiotic as well. Run in populated locations and try to invite a partner to jog with you. When you are going around corners or near blind alleys pay close attention. Carry some pepper spray, mace or something that makes a loud noise. And remember you probably are more likely to be attacked by an animal than a person so be on the look out for animals as well.
