On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on Randy Karp author of Misinformed About Food. This book
researches the researchers. Barry Sears, author of The Zone Diet called this book a “must have.” Randy says you are what you eat ate. So you have to keep in mind what the food you are eating was eating. Especially fish – they are like sponges – they absorb all the stuff that is in the ocean around them – and in some parts of the world that means lots of toxins and contaminants. He says to forget about superfoods and go for super nutrients. There are plenty of boring foods like broccoli and tomatoes that are great for you. Randy explains why cold water fish are better than farm raised and where you can get the best olive oil in the world. He also says to avoid eating fish that are bottom feeders.
