Matt explained the dangers of weight lifting on swiss exercise balls, how to read supplement labels and the benefits of drinking chocolate milk after you work out. We have talked about the dangers of working out with weights while laying on a swiss exercise ball but the message is not getting through – an NBA player hurt himself when the ball burst as he was pressing weights while on the ball. The balls may say they can’t burst but if you put enough weight on them they can. Using supplements when you are a college or pro athlete can be dicey – the labels may not include any ingredients that are banned but during the manufacturing process banned substances can make their way in. A study Matt mentioned said that up to 15% of supplements had some form of steroids in them.
