Stone Payton: [00:00:00] And we are back with Business RadioX Pro Tips. Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you. Lee, let’s talk about clarity. And for today, the idea of providing clear instructions to get the best execution.

Lee Kantor: [00:00:16] Yeah. Everybody knows the importance of delegating. But when you’re delegating, if you’re not able to communicate clearly with the person you’re delegating to, then you are going to become frustrated by their lack of execution. So, you got to really take a hard look at yourself and make sure that the person that you’re delegating to and you’re frustrated with are not failing because of something you’ve done and you haven’t set them up for success.

Lee Kantor: [00:00:46] So, always look at your own communication first. Were you clear enough? Where was the miscommunication? What could you have done to explain things better? The sooner you can get better at giving clearer instructions, then the sooner you can really benefit from delegating more effectively. And this will help you scale faster. This will help you grow your business more effectively.

Lee Kantor: [00:01:09] So, remember, write down everything. Try to tell somebody who doesn’t understand anything about your business. Try to find holes in the instructions before you delegate. So, it’s important, whatever the task is you’re trying to delegate, get that down on your own, as good as you can get it, communicate it with other people. And then, once you have it tight and then anybody can understand it, then now you’re ready to hand it off to somebody else. And you’ll see you’ll be less frustrated by their poor execution because you did your work up front and got a nice, tight system for them to follow.

Lee Kantor: [00:00:18] Yeah. I think that when you come into business relationship with the idea that you’re serving them rather than selling to them, that’s going to help you become successful. And I think that one of the benefits of working with Business RadioX is that we help our clients do just that and really serve their niche. Our model is built upon teaching them and showing them how to become the voice of business for whatever niche that they serve. And when they do that, that allows them to truly become an expert in that vertical that they’re serving. They accumulate over time all of this institutional knowledge that becomes deeper and deeper with every relationship that they build and each problem that they discuss with their clients.

Lee Kantor: [00:01:05] So, it’s just an amazing tool and resource. And when you allow your client to become the voice of business for that vertical and help them really do that, then in a short period of time they’re able to know and recommend who the real players are. And they can weed out the not so great players in their niche. They’re going to get to know the prospects better. They’re going to get to know all of the thought leaders. They’re going to get to know the association that they’re going to have really deep relationships with all of the key players inside their industry. And they’re going to be doing that by supporting and celebrating all of those same players.

Lee Kantor: [00:01:46] So, getting your prospect to understand that and really see how that’ll help them further separate themselves from all their competition is the key to their successful use of our platform. So, our business is really giving a gift to all of our clients to helping them become the hub of their ecosystem to really serve their entire ecosystem. It’s just an amazing platform and it’s rewarding work. And then, they get to differentiate themselves by becoming the voice of business for whatever niche that they serve.

Jeff-Kennedy-Moes-Original-BBQMoe’s Original BBQ (MOB) was founded by three boys from Alabama: Mike Fernandez from Tuscaloosa, Ben Gilbert from Athens and Jeff Kennedy from Huntsville. After meeting at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, they instantly became friends and had a mutual interest in all things Southern: BBQ, blues, college football, and whiskey.

In 1988, Mike hooked up with Moses Day (A.K.A. Moe) in Tuscaloosa and began learning to fire roast meats. When Moses fired up his backyard barrel pit, everyone in Tuscaloosa knew where to go. Mike was lucky to learn from Moses, whose distinct style set the basis for MOB.

Eventually all landing in Vail, Colorado, the guys refined their cooking skills. By using fruit wood to smoke the meats and hitting it with two sauces, they knew they had something special. Served with red BBQ and Alabama white sauces, the award-winning smoked menu features pulled pork, ribs, wings, turkey and chicken, catfish and a shrimp sandwich. Prepared fresh daily, a rotation of 60 traditional Southern sides and house made desserts are also offered.

With over 30 years of legislative experience, she has worked with a variety of clients to help them achieve their legislative goals. She has considerable expertise in solid waste management including recycling, environmental, water, transportation, telecommunications, agriculture, sports and general business issues.

She is also the Executive Director of the Florida Recycling Partnership Foundation, a coalition of top Florida businesses and association with the mission to educate policy makers, business leaders and the general public on the benefits of recycling. The organization provides a variety of educational summits, workshops and webinars using its memberships’ expertise to show others how recycling can be done.

Keyna is an active member of the Florida Society of Association Executives. She was the Associate Member of the Year in 2001, Past Chair of the Florida Society of Association Executives Foundation and currently serves on the Board of Directors.

In 2012, Keyna was elected to the Keep Florida Beautiful Board of Directors. KFB is dedicated to its mission, its 40 affiliates, and to the sustainment of Florida’s natural beauty through action and education.

In January 2016, Keyna was elected to the Florida Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors. She was chair of the 1995 Carquest Bowl and was the first woman to chair a post season college football game.
