DaNel Hogan is a professional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) educator. As the Director of The STEMAZing Project, she currently finds herself teaching teachers how to better engage students using STEM content. DaNel finds her creativity and imagination focused on #STEMontheCheap hacks – using inexpensive materials to provide students with rich STEM learning experiences.
DaNel has had many STEM adventures from a couple of visits to Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, working with teachers at a STEM school in Egypt, performing an experiment on the Zero Gravity plane (30 parabolas at zero g), visiting a nuclear power plant in Japan, traveling 90 meters underground to see the Compact Muon Solenoid detector at the Large Hadron Collider on the Swiss/French border, and she recently traveled to both Liberia and Honduras to work with educators. She is also guiding the development and implementation of the STEMAZing Teacher Leader Program which is empowering PreK-8th grade educators to lead from the classroom with a reach beyond their own learning spaces.
