Born and raised in Gwinnett County, Clint Dixon has a passion for serving the community. Over the years, he has served Gwinnett County on the Planning Commission where he’s worked with homeowners, businesses, and landowners to champion common-sense zoning decisions. He has also been a leader in promoting the Ivy Creek Overlay and previously served on the Water and Sewer Authority where he fought to keep rate low.

Clint Dixon is no stranger to hard work. Like so many across the community, Clint is self-made in business and real estate. He got his start in the real estate industry in the early 2000s and has seen the ups and downs of good times and bad. He started his career in land acquisitions until the Great Recession hit. He then started Longleaf Realty which specialized in bank-owned properties. With a lot of hard work and sweat, he managed to survive. He then worked as the real estate, construction, and site selection Manager for Hewatt Enterprises in Lawrenceville. Today, he works as an Acquisition Manager for Chafin Homes.

A committed family man, Clint has been married to his wife Hayden for 16 years. They have 3 children, Hudson (12), Berkley (9), and Emsley (6), who all attend Buford City Schools. On the weekends, he can be found shuttling his kids around to cheer, football, and basketball practices or games.

New era of Gladiators hockey to begin with new ownership

DULUTH, Ga. – The Atlanta Gladiators introduced Alex Campbell and former NHL player Anson Carter as the new owners of the hockey team. Campbell will serve as the majority owner, while Carter will serve as the minority owner. The pair will own and operate the team as ATL Hockey Group LLC. Both were unanimously approved by the ECHL Board of Governors.

With a strong client base in Atlanta, Alex Campbell owns and operates Capital Staffing Solutions Inc. and has built the firm into one of the leaders in the staffing industry. Capital Staffing Solutions has been named one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in North Florida seven times in the past ten years, and in 2022, the company was named to the national INC. 5000 list, recognizing the fastest growing private companies in the United States. Campbell was also previously named a 40 under 40 honoree by Jacksonville Business Journal for his business success, leadership skills, and high level of community involvement. A native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Campbell continues to serve as a partner of the Williamsport Crosscutters baseball team in the MLB Draft League. The former Atlanta resident currently resides in Ponte Vedra, Florida with his wife Jena and their three children JT, Penn, and Vivian.

Anson Carter/One-on-One Interview

Anson Carter currently serves as a panelist alongside Wayne Gretzky, Paul Bissonnette, Rick Tocchet, and Liam McHugh on TNT’s weekly The NHL on TNT show. Along with his broadcast responsibilities, Carter works to make hockey more diverse and inclusive through his role as Co-Chair of the National Hockey League’s Player Inclusion Committee. Before entering the world of television with NBC in 2012, he completed a successful playing career that consisted of 674 games played throughout 11 NHL seasons. Carter and his family have lived in Atlanta since 2009, while he and his wife Erika are currently full-time residents of Atlanta.

The Gladiators open the season on Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday Oct. 22 at Gas South Arena against the defending Kelly Cup Champion Florida Everblades. Scott Hilton is running as a Republican for Georgia State House District 48, which includes portions of Peachtree Corners, Johns Creek, Alpharetta and Roswell.

Scott has worked with the small business community in Georgia for over 15 years. He currently serves as Senior Vice-President of Commercial Banking at SouthState Bank and previously led the Georgians First Commission as Executive Director with a focus on eliminating burdensome red tape for the benefit of Georgia’s small businesses.

Scott served in the Georgia General Assembly from 2017 – 2019. During his tenure, he was appointed to the Education and Healthcare committees, eventually rising to a leadership role as Deputy Whip. As a State Representative, Scott authored legislation to give parents greater school choice and empower individuals with disabilities. Scott graduated with honors from Georgetown University, with majors in finance and international business, and graduated from Emory University’s MBA program with a concentration in capital markets.

A. Raheim White earned Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters of Fine Arts degrees in Dance Performance & Choreography from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and New York University Tisch School of the Arts, with a semester study at the Taipei National University of the Arts. He became deeply immersed in mediation and healing while living in Taiwan. Soon, he would discover the healing power of Reiki and crystals.

While dancing professionally in New York City, he trained to become a Reiki Master-Teacher and Sound Healer in order to further cultivate tools for this endeavor. After cultivating an undeniable connection to Spirit, he was beckoned home to Chicago to continue his personal journey. There he pursued his dream of becoming a Certified Yoga Instructor, Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator, and Akashic Record Reader.

In 2021, The Transformation Wizard was birthed as a way to help others shift from self-consciousness to self-empowerment using mindfulness, meditation, and movement.

Barbara J. Peters grew up on Long Island, New York. Her early years were mostly uneventful until she realized that her family had some relationship problems. Her mother and father separated when she was only 4 years old and got back together when she was 12. It was challenging as her brother was 10 years older than her so she really had no sibling to turn to. She was a young child and didn’t really understand their troubles.

In her later years, as she witnessed many friends and family struggle in their relationships, she began to want to help others. Her own relationships were struggling, too. She was focused on finding an answer and realized it is not who you find, but who you are. She isnow with a special man who is understanding and accepting. Her dream wedding in Paris is one she will never forget.

As a Relationship Coach & Author, Barbara is passionate about helping people improve their relationships. Through individual coaching, she is dedicated to each and every client, no matter what they bring to the table. They work as a team to make the life changes they need. Her passion has led her to write several books on relationships, including how to make blended families work.

Barbara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from C.W. Post College of Long Island University, a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing from Stony Brook University, and a Master of Science in Counseling from Georgia State University.
