On this first episode of a 2-part series on “Stewarding Family Wealth“, hosts Randy Brunson and Sandy Leroux discuss the first two keys to making and implementing long term goals, whether its financial goals or life goals. The first two steps include writing down your goals and keeping the list short.

Randy Brunson/Centurion Advisory Group

Randy Brunson is the founding shareholder of Centurion Advisory Group. Randy has invested most of his forty-year career in financial services. He spent several years on the institutional side and had the opportunity to start a successful financial planning firm in 1991. Centurion Advisory Group serves individual and corporate clients, both in Georgia and throughout the country, offering personal and business financial planning, retirement plan design and management, and investment management services.

Randy studied engineering and marketing at UT Chattanooga. Randy currently holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and CKA designation and makes it a priority to stay on top of his knowledge in the financial industry through continuing professional educational opportunities and reading. In addition, Randy has completed studies in qualified plan design, estate planning and business transition planning and he enjoys speaking and writing regularly on these topics.

Sandy LeRoux/Centurion Advisory Group

Sandy LeRoux, has been with Centurion Advisory Group since early 2015. She serves as co-advisor and team lead and has primary responsibility for a number of client relationships. Sandy is a skilled and dedicated Financial Planner with more than 20 years’ experience in the executive level of business and finance. For 15 years, she served as Controller and Human Resources Administrator for LeRoux Entertainment, a multimillion-dollar company with over 250 employees in six states.

Following her desire to serve the broader community, Sandy served as the Executive Assistant to the lead pastor of The Bridge Church. During her time there, she especially enjoyed developing strategic pathways and action plans based on the priorities, vision, and initiatives of the pastor and congregation. Sandy also worked at the executive level of First Covenant Bank in Roswell, GA. Her talents in the financial and faith-based organizations are what led her to Centurion Advisory Group.

Sandy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a Minor in Accounting from UGA and her MBA in Corporate Finance from Georgia State University. Currently, Sandy is working towards her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

Michael Burke/Vibrational Sound Therapist

What are you vibrating back to a universe that is dancing within your every cell… your every fiber… your every string? This principle idea, that we are the energy we hold, is how Michael Burke lives his life each and every day.

Michael Murphy Burke was born in New Orleans, LA on September 30, 1959. This happens to be the same day that Rumi, the great Sufi mystic poet, was born. This is not a coincidence, as “coincidence is just God’s way of staying anonymous”. Michael grew up surrounded by music, art, passion, freedom of expression, and the absolute power of living on his own path.

He’s been a poet all his life, with his first published material being in his high school newspaper when he was a sophomore. More recently, he contributes steadily to Oracle Magazine and is also published in Aquarius Magazine and Conscious Life Journal. In addition to writing, Michael also creates artistic visions in a variety of woods for private clients as a custom woodworker. He can also be found doing spoken word, sound journeys and meditations throughout the Atlanta area and beyond.

Sound = Frequency/Vibration. All matter is vibrating. We are vibrational beings. Therefore to be absorbed into sounds that create balance through binaural frequencies, isochronic tones, along with just soothing, beautiful instrumentation allows those sounds to absorb into us. These sounds are how all things are generated, created, actualized. By treating yourself to a Sound Journey or Sonic Massage, you are caressing each string, cell and fiber of your being with universal tones that comfort and soothe, release and renew. The beautiful thing about any type of Sound Treatment is that you don’t have to DO anything.

Randy Redner, Paige Havens, Renee Byrd-Lewis and Heather Loveridge

Randy Redner/Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia

At the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia, everything they do centers around one purpose – improving our world through the power of philanthropy.

On a fundamental level, they do that through managing funds held in trust, donated by individuals, organizations and businesses. Most funds are donor-advised funds, similar to savings accounts. These funds are pooled for investment purposes and their income is used to make grants for a wide variety of charitable purposes.

But their goals expand far beyond managing funds. They desire to strengthen the communities they serve in Gwinnett, Northeast Georgia and beyond by providing leadership, addressing community needs, and assisting individuals and organizations with their charitable giving.

Renee Byrd-Lewis/Gwinnett Coalition

The Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services is a public/private partnership whose mission is to facilitate collaboration that improves the well-being of the community.

They accomplish this mission by identifying needs and resources, setting priorities, planning solutions, focusing on results, and educating and motivating the community to action.

Paige Havens/Gwinnett Cares

Gwinnett Cares is an online grassroots effort that’s spun from a large group of community stakeholders (citizens, municipalities, businesses, non-profits, schools, faith community, healthcare providers, civic clubs, etc.) to streamline communication to Gwinnett’s population of a million people about how to get and give help during COVID-19.

Their goal is to synchronize Gwinnett’s existing support services and infrastructure to effectively address real-time needs across the community. Response teams, made up of community leaders and subject matter experts, have formed in 5 key focus areas: Food Insecurity & Supplies, Homelessness & Housing, Healthcare Access, Educational Support, and Workforce Development.

Host: Heather Loveridge/Magnolia Media Group

At the heart of marketing is great storytelling – and that’s what they do at Magnolia Media Group. Whether it’s through social media, e-newsletters, websites, brochures or complete marketing services, they help organizations tell their story.
