BRX Pro Tip: Teach What You Know
Stone Payton: Welcome back to Business RadioX Pro Tips, Lee Kantor and Stone Payton here with you. Lee, by any standard, any measure, you are clearly an expert in our arena. What have you learned and what counsel do you have on becoming an expert and demonstrating that expertise?
Lee Kantor: Yeah, I think one of the fastest ways to become recognized as an expert in whatever it is you do is to just teach what you’ve already learned. You don’t have to know everything to provide value as a teacher. Chances are there’s somebody that is a few steps behind you that would benefit from your experience.
Lee Kantor: So, sharing your knowledge is something that’s going to build trust over the long term before someone ever becomes a client. And being a teacher is a great way to solidify what you’ve already learned, as well as, you know, demonstrating that you are an expert in whatever it is the subject matter that you profess to be an expert in.
Lee Kantor: So today, start sharing some lessons. Share something you learned recently with your audience, your team or your client. You know, maybe it’s a LinkedIn post, maybe it’s a video, whatever it is, whatever medium you like to share, share some of the lessons you’ve learned because that’s a great way for you to articulate what you know, and to teach somebody else that might, over time, become a client.
