Carl Schuessler/Mitigate Partners

Mitigate Partners is an intentionally small “concierge” consulting firm offering a unique approach to benefits management to a select group of clients. Mitigate Partners provide insurance, risk management, cost containment, and employee benefits consulting services. They have chosen collaboration over competition and maintain healthy relationships with a cadre’ of like-minded consultants and resources throughout the region. Being open to and encouraging the ideas of others allows them to remain on the cutting edge of thinking in their area of expertise, rather than developing the myopic view of the world that so often occurs in single source benefit brokerage shops.

By serving as a fiduciary and steward of their client’s health plan dollars, and focusing on how to reduce the cost of healthcare (rather than the cost of insurance), they operate more as Population Health Managers rather than as “Brokers”, allowing their team to specialize in cost containment and risk mitigation strategies that result in dramatic reductions in the overall health plan spending of their clients. More than 100 years of combined experience in benefit planning, allows Mitigate Partners to offer clients improved cash flow, “employer friendly health plans”, and lower cost trends over time.

Having spent the past six years deeply engaged in research also makes Mitigate Partners sought-after speakers and authors as well. Their recent speaking engagements have led them to the National Community Pharmacy Association as well as to the Substance Use and the Workplace Community Forum (Opioid Abuse) in Morganton, NC which included North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein in the speaking lineup. Click here to see their interview at the 14th Annual World Healthcare Congress.

Susan Boland Butts & Keith Fenton/Hi-Hope Service Center

Hi-Hope Service Center provides weekday, residential, and employment services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They operate a weekday program intended to help individuals to be active participants in the life of their community, including many opportunities for them to make a contribution through volunteering. Hi-Hope Service Center supports individuals seeking competitive employment by helping to reduce the barriers that often times keep them from successfully obtaining and maintaining a job. They operate five group homes nestled in neighborhoods throughout Gwinnett County. Providing round the clock staff ensures that individuals can live in their home over the long term, including aging in place. Hi-Hope believes that their work ensures that adults with developmental disabilities have every opportunity to show themselves as vital contributors to our diverse community.

People Helping People does not have a one size fits all platform like many other companies in the financial services and insurance industry regarding products and providers. This allows their associates to tailor a solution that best fits the client’s specific needs and future financial goals.

Shannon Brabner & Susan Boland Butts/Hi-Hope Service Center

Hi-Hope Service Center has a 55-year tradition of supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Now focusing on adults, they provide support by connecting them with integrated opportunities for learning, work and leisure. They believe that individuals with developmental disabilities have inherent value with gifts and abilities to share. Without intentional engagement and support, these gifts may remain hidden and our community may never benefit from their contribution. These individuals are not only a vital resource to our community, but they enrich our lives.

Hi-Hope Service Center is promoting its 2nd annual Gwinnett’s Kids Got Talent Show. The event will be held on Saturday March 28, 2015 at 6pm at Central Gwinnett High School Theater in Lawrenceville, GA.

Susan Boland Butts/Hi-Hope Service Center

???????????????????????????????Hi-Hope Service Center provides services to adults with developmental disabilities in  Gwinnett County.  Over 50 years ago the parents of six young students from Gwinnett County founded one of the first organizations in Georgia to teach children with intellectual disabilities. The Hi-Hope Service Center, formerly known as Gwinnett County Association  for Retarded Citizens, was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in 1960. Under the capable leadership of Vinie Lowry, and support from many parents and the  greater Gwinnett community, construction of a special needs school was completed in  1970. In the late 1990s when all student programs, including the pre-school program, were integrated into the public schools, Hi-Hope successfully transitioned to an organization supporting developmentally disabled adults. Currently, Hi-Hope supports 108 individuals through its weekday community access, employment and residential group home programs.

Pat Baker/Gwinnett County Health and Human Services

???????????????????????????????Gwinnett County Health and Human Services is a division in Community Services. HHS is  made up of Gwinnett Senior Services (four senior multipurpose centers – Buford, Norcross,  Lawrenceville and Centerville), two human services centers (One -Stops in Buford and  Norcross) and one community center (Centerville). The One-Stops offer many different  programs and house non-profits and service agencies.  The services offered by Senior  Services (those over the age of 60) are congregate meals, home-delivered meals, several different transportation programs, homemaker services, care management, information and assistance, and a wide variety of opportunities to volunteer. The Centerville Community Center offers a wide variety of programming for all ages.
