Bob Neal Media is the umbrella organization for all of Bob Neal’s media work. He is involved in Sportscasting as the anchor and co-producer of “Play To Win”, a football season weekly half hour show on college and NFL football, airing at 9:00 AM on Fox 5 Atlanta and syndication stations. This is the second year of the show and additional stations will be announced soon. Bob is also a voice-over talent, represented by three Atlanta Agencies, Houghton, Hutchinson and Umberger. His wife Sally is the voice-over agent at Houghton. Bob also teaches classes, lectures and hold seminars on the Sports Media business. His next seminar is April 22, 2015 at YourAct studios at Peachtree Corners from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM. He recently lectured at the Sports Media Undergraduate Certification program at the University of Georgia in Athens.

Don Meng/Sign-A-Rama Duluth

Sign-A-Rama Duluth specializes in design, production and installation of all types of signage. Andrea Accoo is a return guest to Eugeria! Radio. She was born, raised and educated in New Jersey, attending Bloomfield College to earn her undergraduate degree, and attending Rutgers University to get her Masters in Social Work. Andrea moved to Atlanta in 1999. Andrea took a position with Golden Living in 2004, and spent 8 years in the skilled nursing environment. In 2009, Andrea was awarded the honor of Social Worker of the Year by the Georgia Healthcare Association. After more than a decade with Golden Living, Andrea decided to accept the position of Life Guidance Director at Atria of Buckhead. She is primarily responsible for Atria’s Memory Care Community.

Joining Andrea today is Tae Stallsworth. Tae hails from Mobile, Alabama, attended Bishop State to get her RN degree, then Springhill College to get her Bachelors degree in Pre Law. Return guest Sheri Maddox is a rare native Atlanta. She attended Georgia State University, earning an undergraduate degree in business. She started her career in sales. Not too long after graduation, Sheri’s grandmother passed away. Her grandfather had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2001, and needed to move out of his house to a community where he could get the care and attention he needed. As Sheri became involved in her grandfather’s care, she realized how much she felt called to work as an advocate for seniors.

Today, Sheri is the Director of Community Relations for Sunrise of Johns Creek. She loves the resources that Sunrise brings to bear in providing a safe, secure, caring and compassionate home for seniors – particularly those with some cognitive impairment. She also loves the fact that her grandfather lives in the building, two floors above her office!

Sheri also advocates for seniors through her volunteer work with the Alzheimer’s Association. She got involved with this organization as a result of her grandfather’s diagnosis, and has found a place where she can really make a difference. Sheri is co-chairing this year’s Atlanta Walk to End Alzheimer’s, being held this Saturday, September 29 starting at 8 am at Atlantic Station. Return guest, Chris Brand has been involved in helping disabled adults and seniors for as long as he can remember. As a young man, he had a friend of the family whose son suffered from Muscular Dystrophy. He watched the family’s struggles until the son died at the age of 19. This gave him a first-hand look at how difficult it can be for a family to deal with the disability of a loved one, particularly with respect to independence and mobility issues.

As President and CEO of Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC), Chris is thrilled to be able to assist families of disabled adults and children in accessing both equipment and services to facilitate accessibility and independence. FODAC fills 3,600 requests, distributing over 5,000 items each year from its 65,000 square foot facility in Stone Mountain. The retail value of all medical equipment that has been given away now totals over $60 million!

On May 5, Stone Mountain Park and Herschend Family Entertainment will be hosting one of FODAC’s three major fundraising events for 2012: The Run, Walk & Roll. Upon graduating with a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University, Brad Culp would not have predicted that he would end up in the senior homecare industry. Prior to acquiring the Atlanta Northeast Office of Griswold Special Care, he spent the bulk of his career in management consulting. About nine years ago, Brad began investigating small businesses to acquire. After a lengthy search, he and his wife Leasa found an opportunity to combine business and mission, as Ginger O’Shea, the founder of the Atlanta Northeast Office of Griswold Special Care decided to retire. A year later, Brad opened the Dallas North Office of Griswold Special Care, now managed by Kevin Reitz and Dennie Moore. Looking back, Brad says, “I love being in this business, making an impact on peoples’ lives every day!”

About five years ago, Brad was introduced to Sam Grass through a mutual acquaintance. After a number of conversations about the home care business, Brad and Sam decided to team up to expand the coverage of the business to Northern Gwinnett and Forsyth Counties. Though we try to ignore the fact, Sam was born, raised and educated in West Virginia. Sam spent 20 years in the managed care industry before determining very deliberately that he wanted to be in the homecare business. Eugeria! We opened the show with Dr. Colin Roopnarine, of Northpoint Family Chiropractic. Dr. Colin, and his wife Dr. Claudia have practiced Chiropractic for more than fifteen years. Doctors Roopnarine serve families, from infant to senior. For Dr. Roopnarine, he takes particular pride in helping seniors live active, pain-free lives. Dr. Colin also specializes in fall prevention among seniors. Prompted by falls from family members, he began to investigate ways to address structural ankle instability.
